The long walkway of the Ocean Isle Beach community center-
This entrance ends up on the beach at the VOLLEYBALL NET!
To the right, about a half mile is the OIB pier!
We often come here and park across the street.
The community center has restrooms –
And an easy walk to the pier or East to the groin area.
The “GROIN” is a 900-foot granite boulder wall –
Installed a couple of years ago to help protect the beach and erosion that has claimed parts of streets one and two.
This beach is where Sherry and I volunteer for the Protection of Sea Turtles.
We are now in our fourth season.
This year –
Our granddaughter Taylor –
Has applied to be an intern and will spend two weeks with us and intern.
One or both of us has to be with her at all times!

In the middle –
Taylor with her parents –
Marcus and Tammy.
This young lady tried out and made the basketball team in her freshman year –
And is of the writing –
Trying out for the soccer team.
She sings in church –
Has ridden horses since she was five or six years old.

Taylor’s first time on a horse!

Today – Taylor rides almost every week.
She works at two barns –
Cleaning stalls and grooming horses!
She is as tall as Sherry –
And her lowest grade was a B+, and the rest –
A or A+!
A remarkable young lady who also plays violin and has taught herself to play guitar!

Sharry and Papa-
My grade school buddy and his wife, Bob and Pam.
We spent some time in Florida and met up with them at Disney Springs.
Today, they are leasing a home some nine miles away.
They have taken a year off from RVING!
We have many memories together growing up in Eldred, Pa.
Good friends over the decades of life!

The quiet corner of our house in Brambleton, Va.

Two days later, after a major snowstorm!
By now –
I think you all know I hate snow-ice –
That is one reason we moved to OIB –
On the borders of N.C. and S.C.

This is the home we live in now in Cameron Woods Community,
Ocean Isle Beach, N.C.
We are happy with the weather here-
It can become hot –
Then we will go for ten minutes to the beach!

Our ten-minute drive brings us to the Causeway Bridge-
Onto Ocean Isle Beach!
