Papa’s World – Good thoughts and life memories!

GOOD THOUGHT and GOOD VIBE for the day!

When we lived in NVA, we often made trips either on the Metro or by car-

Into Washington, D.C.

We moved into the area in 1999 –

First, for a couple of months in Alexandria,

Close to Old Town.

Then, for a dozen years, in and around Fairfax.

Finally – Brambleton –

Which was on the backside of the Dulles Airport in the country.

Dozens of times during those years –

We acted as tour guides to family and friends!

We would spend weekends going into the city with them.

Here is one time with friends from AZ. –

Sherry -on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial with –

The Washington Monument and the reflecting pond in the background!

We loved going into the city.

I normally don’t like cities, as I feel closed in.

But – Washington, D.C. –

It is wide open, and the buildings can only be so high!

LOL – A SMILE FOR THE DAY!

Jo – Sherry and Paul –

REFLECTIONS on the Vietnam Wall!

They visited us from AZ.

We are all from that area of history.

We lost people we knew.

MEMORIES FROM THE PRESENT INTO THE PAST!

WHEN FRIENDS MAKE YOU LAUGH AND SMILE!

These friends go back decades –

And decades!

Sherry – Cindy and Dottie.

Oh, the times through the years they have had!

GOOD THOUGHTS AND LIFE MEMORIES!

Sherry switched to this instead of the capsules –

Because she has always had problems swallowing capsules and pills.

Tastes like FRUIT juice when mixed with water.

The twins – Taylor on the left and Cassidy on the right-

When they were small, they would climb up onto my lap-

And we would watch the IPAD!

Today, they are in their first year of H.S.

Taylor is almost as tall as I am-

And Cassidy is a few inches shorter!

If only I could turn back time!

GOOD THOUGHTS AND MEMORIES!

The day Sherry and I took Ella and Maddy –

On the Metro to Arlington Cemetery –

And then we walked across the 14th. street bridge –

Into the Rolling Thunder Bike Rally!

I think they were maybe 13 and 16 years old.

It was an exciting trip as we walked in DC that day!

Covering most everything and then caught the Metro back just outside where we lived.

GOOD THOUGHTS AND MEMORIES!
