Several years ago –

We had a friend’s long weekend at Cindy and Buck’s.

We had rented a pontoon boat on OIB for the day.

Six of us had been neighbors on Pleasant Acres Drive in Portville, NY.

That would be Carol and Mike, Cindy and Buck, and Sherry and me.

Jim and Dottie lived a few miles away across the border in PA.

I knew them even before Sherry and I married.

We have all stayed in touch over the decades.

A look back at the early history of the town – ELDRED, PA. –

That I grew up in.

At the top center-right and a little beyond –

My family home in later years after this picture was taken.

The tall brick building with the four windows across the middle left side of the picture-

That’s where I lived after graduating from high school.

Today, that building still exists and is a Library!

I am guessing this picture is from the late 1800s!
