Is it HOW OLD YOU ARE or HOW OLD DO YOU FEEL ?
All my life – I have been early to bed and early to rise !
I just can not help it –
I try to stay up –
and I try to stay in bed –
BUT – I start to fall asleep –
and then – I get my second wind –
And – that is when I can not go to sleep –
but I still wake up early !
And then – being 70 –
feeling 50 and knowing all of the above –
Puts you in the right frame of mind –
GO TO BED WHEN YOU ARE TIRED –
GET UP WHEN YOU WAKE UP –
and make the most of your day !
Works for me !
We try every day –
do not eat this –
Lets walk – get in our steps –
MOVE & MOVE
But – you age –
For most people this is natural –
But to age and feel younger –
It is so much easier to just order in –
But you know something –
I LIKE ASPARAGUS !
I enjoy cooking –
( cleaning up – not so much )
But we try every day to eat GREEN –
We try to eat healthy –
And then there are the sweets –
seems the older I get –
the more I want my cake and eat it too !
I am not much of a gummy or hard candy person –
But – put a milk chocolate covered peanut out –
What does keep us young in mind and body –
Is the interaction with our grand kids .
Watching them grow up –
Seeing them excel –
Being a part of it !
So – is the 70 now the new 50 ?
I guess it is what ever you think it to be –
In our lives –
the answer is yes –
We try to maintain
Doing that requires good eating –
exercise – ( walking)
And finding a way to get as much whole food into our bodies that we can.
We know quite well what is on that list of older than dirt –
But then again –
We also know what is on our list to age and maintain.
It is all for us
the matter of the mind –
And doing what we think is right for us –
