Our busy lives – our family – both our close family and what we consider our family of Juice Plus.
The journey began 13 years ago – and for us it was simply changing our life style – getting healthy – knowing that after we retired – we wanted to remain in life active as we had been in our early years.
Here we are – both 40 years old – playing not rec volleyball – but smash it in your face. The Beach Club – fond memories – we had to do something to maintain that competitive edge.
In the above picture – we had been married 7 years – and are to the far left at age 40 ! I had always played sports – softball until I was 38 years old – basketball for a radio station – and at age 46 after volleyball – golf.

Today – we golf as much as we can – but are busy with our lives – our grand kids and our in home business of The Juice Plus Company. We started this business as a way to pay for our product – and after one year – knew that we had to get our family and grand kids on it for health reasons. And then it started to grow – and grow . All from home while working full time in our Career business of TILE !! Yes – we worked a combined 79 1/2 years for the same company !

Working for Corp. America is a dream when you are young – but can and did become a very stressful – unbearable lifestyle that we both wanted out of ! That is when we really took a look at the business side of Juice Plus. We were already distributors ( cost $50.00 a year ) – and were sharing it as the belief grew stronger and stronger with changes in our combined health. It became time to move forward – so a team developed – and it got bigger and bigger – just sharing – today we have two QMND’s and one Senior under Sherry – with one QMND walking the stage in October.

Debby is almost there as a new NMD – (National Marketing Director) and we will most likely watch her WALK THE STAGE in Austin Texas – where she will give a speech before 8000 people – and recognized by the Juice Plus Company. Something that has changed her and her families lives ! Her daughter will receive up to$1750.00 per year for college! As one of her perks for being a NMD !

We have made a dramatic change in a lot of lives – both in health and wealth. We retired – Sherry at age 63 – me at 64 – leaving behind successful careers – going full time in the Juice Plus business – traveling the Country – promoting health and showing how people can take control and work for themselves – living life to the plus one day at a time.

All my life up to 16 years ago – I was a junk food addict!
I thought I was fit – playing sports until my late 40’s!
I ate all the time at McDonald’s – then something changed my life.
Sherry went to NBC for your health in Washington D.C.
I also went to the food court!
That is where she found a supplement that changed both our lives.
At first, I denied I needed it – then three months later I started to take it-

They wanted me to do an interview for some kind of research but I declined.
Here I am – 56 hours later standing in front of the Christmas tree – I was home!
I had a 100% – 90% – 60% and 40% blockages. I walked the halls in less than 20 hours –
Everyone told me they had no one like that – I went home and the other people who had surgery
that day were still in the step-down units.

Sixteen years ago my life changed and in my mind and heart –

When they were small – we would take them into D.C. – either the Metro or drive-in.

Playing golf in our senior years was one of the reasons we moved South – warmer weather and out of the ice and snow and really cold weather.

I worked 47 1/2 years for the same company – prior to that – I started working when I was going into my Junior year of H.S.
I decided when I retired – almost 50 years of working – was enough !

It was important to maintain our friendships – stay in touch – here are four of our closest friends.
Buck and I – NWPA – golfing vacation
It was important for me to stay active and play golf.
Our six grand children – 5 grand daughters and then Bode .
Family is very important to me , when we moved to NVA – Sherry’s daughters followed us there . My two sons stayed in NWPA – we see them when we visit. In the 20 years – the Va.family has grown – and being there – we see them often if not daily. My family I grew up with is almost gone – I have a niece – great niece’s – brother’s daughter – great – great niece and 2 great – great nephews – everyone else including uncles -aunts are gone.
We have a little side business –
We live in a very expensive part of the country – in fact – this county has the highest income per household in the country. We moved here 20 years ago for work and then Sherry retired almost 7 years ago – and went full time into that business of health and nutrition. I followed one year later – and – we have been into this for almost sixteen years!

We travel – we play golf – we see the country – but we also maintain a healthy lifestyle – eating right – and continue to inspire people to do the same.
You have to remember – retirement means Social Security – if you have a pension plan – 401 K – and whatever else you have saved. PLAN ” B ” – if you want to maintain – you have to have a plan.

Family life – friends – and maintaining health are important for us. All three – with church and God – are our mainstays of life. Giving – helping – praying and attending church – go hand in hand with our life. But – having fun – seeing friends – and watching the family grow – is to me what retirement is all about.

My wife is extraordinary – a natural born leader – a certified health coach – along as being a true friend to many. She is my crutch – the one I follow on health and nutrition and the reason I am still alive today.

Eating healthy – sticking to the plan – and taking my nutrition supplement – and following what she says and does are my secrets to life.
The TOWER GARDEN – we grow inside and outside – year round.
We grow our own produce – April through October outside with two Tower Gardens – anything that does not grow on a tree! And then as you see above – we grow inside our garage from November through March. Always fresh and no pesticides – we know what we are eating and growing.

Our team has grown over the years – conference time is twice a year – all over the Country – as is the team – simply sharing by word of mouth. Families – children – helping each other – maintain that healthy lifestyle.

Papa’s World – retirement – loving life to the plus doing it my way.
My step father John – my mother Mary and my brother in law Bill.
John was a decorated WWII hero – with the purple heart and numerous other medals.
He captured a castle and a Nazi officer out of uniform – there is a story in a military journal
that is in the WWII museum in Eldred Pa.that chronicles that event.
He took from that officer a automatic machine gun pistol – vintage WWI – that also resides in the museum
and is worth upwards in the thousands of dollars. They keep it locked away as it is so valuable.
He was wounded several times and went back into action.
Bill was a vet of the forgotten war – Korea – he seldom talked about it but while I was growing up –
he gave to me his sleeping bag that he used in the cold winters there.
I admire his stamina as all it was is a wool blanket inside a canvas liner!
I would get very cold while sleeping outside on the ground in it!
He was more to me than a brother in law – he was my friend and like a brother to me.
One time I was out with him on patrol in the cop car – he was the town cop –
We drove down across the tracks and out past the old pipe building –
he saw a woodchuck and said to me –
“Do I get him”? “Sure I said”!
He pulled out his gun and from the front seat shot that old woodchuck –
I almost went deaf from that gun going off!
I said ” JESUS CHRIST BILL” and then we both just burst out laughing!
Lesson – never fire a gun from inside a car – you can barely hear for like 10 minutes!
John and Mary ( my mother) holding pies that she made from scratch!
Mom was known all over the town and county and into NYS for her baking.
She would bake rolls – bread – pies and cakes. Sweet rolls and sticky buns.
There was not anything she could not knead and bake and all from memory!
She did not need a receipt – she just did it after almost 85 years of her life baking!
She baked as a child learning from her mother who passed at 85 years old.
Mom was next to the youngest of 11 kids and was almost 98 years old when she passed.
She supplied pies and cakes and rolls for a diner in town.
She was so kind and loving – warm and gentle – but she also was a strong women – way before her time – she believed in equal rights and taught me that – she would come up with these sayings that made me laugh – ” You are as useless as a two petered billy goat”
Or she would say ” You are as useless as teats on a boar hog”! She had me in stitches –
she also played the accordion my father the spoons and sang and my uncle jack the wash board.
They would do this at family picnics and if the beer was free – at social events.
When she was young – she traveled with my grandma in the logging camps of Pa.
Making breakfast – lunch and dinner as a way to make money in the depression.
My father passed away in 1969 after a long battle with cancer – leaving mom a widow and my younger brother just entering H.S. After about ten years she met John – and they remarried – both of them.
They were together until he passed away at age 81.
She called him “JOHNNY BOY” and he was so good to her – just what she needed after ten years losing my dad.
He could fix anything and construction was his forte.
His cars and trucks immaculate even though they were ten years old – showroom condition.
He fixed up and remodled the house which she had kept going all those years .
That same house today is still in the family after almost 78 years –
my great niece lives there today.

Just another memory of my family gone but not forgotten.
If you are interested in good health and nutrition –
The yellow pollen was everywhere – so happy that we had the back lanai enclosed with EZ-BREEZE – allowing us to keep
it outside and not all over our furniture indoors!
But – the outdoor patio was covered as were the outdoor window screens and the screens to the lanai!
So – out came the water hose – and I moved all the furniture off the patio as well as the rug.
I began to wash everything down – starting with the siding and the screens.
I gently used the shower feature on the hose to rinse off the Tower Garden – and the big chairs which are too heavy to move and are connected.
The chairs are really heavy and connected – hard to move for Sherry and me!
I also gently showered the flowers – which we have grown since last spring and the Solo Stove fire pit!
Now on such a nice day – I would rather be out golfing – but this yellow pollen from all the pine trees is everywhere.
I have even seen it in the ocean!
When done and everything is back in place – glad to have it over with and nice and clean – however – this will have to be done again as the pollen season lasts for a while.
When the wind blows it is like a yellow dust cloud floating in the air.
A good rain will wash a lot of it down onto the ground but it forms a yellow scum on the water in the ponds!

Today – I look back – back to the little ones – who now are the older ones and the next three whom I now call the little ones!
All six of the grandchildren several years ago before we moved to the Carolinas – this at our home in NVA!
Today – the oldest graduates from college – the second oldest is a Sophomore in college – the third oldest is a Sophomore in H.S.
The twins are in sixth grade and Bode – is in second grade.
All have been down to visit us – and the younger ones have spent a week’s vacation with us here at our new home!
The twins – Cassidy on the left and Taylor on the right – with Papa – they were so small when born – both just three pounds plus!
Today – Taylor – then Sarah ( who is 5’10”) and Cassidy – who is actually now growing faster than Taylor!
Sarah is a Sophomore in H.S.
MORMOR – Sherry – and Papa – at the beach shortly after Sherry retired early to pursue her Juice Plus business full time! She is a certified health coach and guides me in healthy eating.
Today the three oldest are with their parents – Maddy – then Ella and Sarah. They have all grown up!
Our memories of times gone by – forever young in our minds! Maddy – Sarah and Ella!

PAPA and TAYLOR – who has turned into a horse rider and works in the barn!
Seven years ago – we were introduced to ” GROWING ” our own FRESH produce.
Neither one of us ( Sherry) my wife – were gardeners – and the thought of weeding was completely out of my vocabulary !
Then we ordered our first ” TOWER ” Garden –
A aeroponic garden system – using Air – Water and Minerals.
We grow some of our seedlings – others we order and have them shipped to us.
Healthy eating – knowing we use no pesticides – and fresh produce –
allows us to eat healthy all year round ! ( We also grow in our garage using grow lights during Winter. )
The system is really quite simple – a tank in the bottom – holds 20 gallons of water.
A pump – is attached to the center of the Tower by a hose –
and pumps water straight up to the top and then drips down through holes in the center of the Tower.
The water also contains minerals from the Earth. Patented – and in liquid form.
Which are supplied when you order for one season. Everything you need is supplied – for your original garden season – this system we have is seven years old and looks as good today as when we bought it !
There is a timer for the pump – 15 minutes on and 15 minutes off. The whole process boils down to making sure you have water – and once a week add some tonic – or in the heat of Summer – every other week.
The fresh produce grows at a very fast rate – in four weeks time we are eating lettuce – Kale – leafy greens . Cuke’s and tomato’s & peppers take longer – but much shorter than a normal garden plot. You can grow most anything that does not require a tree. Mellon’s – Strawberries – squash – egg plant – herbs etc.
Simple – fast – and best of all ” I DO NOT HAVE TO WEED ” ! I HATE TO WEED !
Since we were some of the first in the Country as a test – we decided to purchase two more ! We have one set up for Winter in our garage and two outside as you see here – the produce is only a couple weeks old – the smaller ones about a week !
We also are distributor’s for what is called the Tower Garden – and have placed them in schools as part of a curriculum established by the Juice Plus Company – to teach children how to grow their own fresh produce all across the Country – presently 5,500 Towers are teaching the process nationwide. We are responsible for about 70 – our team is very active.
