My oldest son –
I can still remember his taking my fingers as we walked up the street –
To my parents’ house on Main Street in Eldred, Pa.
We were renting an apartment above the Western Auto!
I was on second shift at the Olean Tile Company.
3 pm. to 1 am.
Ten straight hours a day, and breaks were on the fly!
Troy and I would walk up the street every day –
No one would be home there, but my sister lived next door, and she was home.
My parents had the Bradford Era delivered every day, and I would read it while Troy played.
Those were special days for me.

He was always curious –
He would constantly take things apart and put them back together again
Today, he can build a house from the ground up-
Doing everything!
He got that from my father, not me.

Troy on the left and his brother Shawn.
Troy still lives in the area where he grew up.
He is still in construction and a builder to this day.

Troy – to you on this special day –
HAPPY BIRTHDAY-
In my heart, I shall always cherish that little hand squeezing my fingers as we walk up the street.
The little blond-haired boy who loved taking things apart and putting them back together again.
The man you are today – a free spirit and a heart of gold.

Troy and Andrea –
On the beach, the last time they visited.
Until I see you again –
Hugs – many more years to come!

From both of us –
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
Love ya!
Dad.
