The “KINDRED SPIRIT” mailbox.

We are now into a new year –

Yet this staple of a couple of HIPPIES –

Decades and decades ago –

Continues on –

New folks walk the mile and a half of the beach to sit and write their thoughts.

All these years – storm after storm –

And it continues – years of notebooks and writings!

Situated on the far end of SUNSET BEACH ( known as Bird Island)-

There are two benches –

The mailbox with a pencil-pen and a notebook inside!

And on the dune behind it –

Sits a large piece of driftwood –

With a plaque dedicating this site to those two hippies all those years ago.

Can you imagine the two of them lugging all the materials down the beach for two miles –

To install the mailbox –

Creating a myth – the storyline is endless.

Today, you can walk this and rest on a bench –

Gazing out to sea –

And write your thoughts in a notebook that for all these years and notebooks –

Have been preserved for future generations to read and study!

A way of life that both of us grew up in!

Give thanks for peace, love, and caring.

Not a bad way to live your life.

This past year, Sherry finally got a supplement that did not involve pills or capsules!
