The wind was blowing the loose sand across the beach – it looked to me like drifting snow!

The beach was sparse with people – and a strong wind hit our backs as we walked toward the Eastern end.

It was January – after the first but before the end of the first full week.

Bundled up but no clouds and bright sunshine – SUNSET BEACH ON A WINTER DAY!

Here you can see the loose sand blowing in swirls across the beach in our path.

Even though it was windy and cold – walking the beach in the swirling sand –

in my opinion – beats walking back home in the swirling snow!
