Papa’s World – “RETIREMENT” going really FAST!

The home we built to retire in – Brambleton, Va. – just behind the Dulles Airport!

It has been over twelve years for Sherry ( she retired early ) and ten years for me!

We had thought that we would retire in this community in Loudoun County –

But a few things happened.

Our youngest daughter and her family who lived a mile from us – MOVED – not far –

some 16 miles away – but you have to understand – we picked up the granddaughters

every day after school – and there were days we had Bode when he did not have pre-school.

We would walk to their home and they would ride bikes with their parents to our house.

Overnight stays were common – trips to the community pools –

We were involved daily and that changed.

You might say – Well we could drive there – but when you are a senior – TRAFFIC bothers you!

And NVA has traffic – and they are just crazy!

We did not like having to drive that distance after being able to walk to their home.

I know – that is selfish of us – and we loved their new home and they loved being in a single-family home with neighbor kids and country living!

Once there – it was so nice – and to be truthful – our neighborhood was what I call a –

“GARAGE DOOR NEIGHBORHOOD”

It goes up when they leave for work – closes and opens again

when they return and closes again.
that’s it!

Outside of a couple neighbors – we had no close friends – it was always in transition.

A beautiful place – a growing community – four High Schools and only one when we moved there.

Our home was beautiful – we walked the fifteen miles of trails daily.

I would sit daily in retirement on the front porch and see dozens of people walking or biking by –

But I knew none of them!

I spent my time grooming the yard – we planted flowers that came back each year –

I hand-dug and planted three Crepe Myrtles and three green-type trees that went straight up

by the fence – I had a wild strawberry patch that the twins would sit down and eat one by one.

Cassidy would tell me how soft the grass was on her bare feet and how cool it felt in the shade.

Living here in retirement was our goal when we built it – we watched as the neighborhood

grew and grew – expanding – schools being built –

a complete town was built with a bank – markets – stores – theater – library and multiple restaurants.

A fifteen-acre park with basketball courts – tennis courts – playgrounds at different sites –

a large pond and huge boulders with waterfalls.

Three community pools were opened.

A sports complex – ball fields soccer fields and cricket fields were submitted and the over 200-acre park with all this was completed after we left!

Brambleton was and is now a destination point for people who work in D.C.

And the Metro came after we moved!

The Washington Commander’s headquarters was five miles away.

We could have driven three miles – hopped on the Metro and went into D.C. or got off at the Dulles International Airport to fly out!

After a short one-half-hour drive we were in the famous “HORSE COUNTRY” of Middleburg –

Where Jackie Kennedy rode horses and Christopher Reeves fell and became Paralyzed.

Then the second reason happened in our retirement – the bottom fell out of the stock market –

The 401K dropped like a lead balloon – it burst!

We lost and we lost big time – 33% disappeared overnight!

We still had our pensions – small as they are – our lifeline Social Security –

which after 79 1/2 years between us we paid into instead of wages and benefits – AND EARNED!

And we had Sherry’s home-based business going on 19 years –

with a monthly income – The Juice Plus Company has been very good for us!

We could survive but it was very expensive – where we lived –

the highest per income in the country!

BUT – the housing market took off and we gained what we lost in the 401K back in the house.

TIME TO SELL AND MOVE!

We would leave our families – but only be a seven-hour drive away –

and go to warmer weather!

The area we had always liked was the area of Wilmington, N.C.

and South of that!

I started to google and found a condo in Ocean Keyes , North Myrtle Beach – S.C.

That would give us time to research and find a place to live!

This was the two reasons we decided to sell and move South – leaving family and friends.

Our journey into retirement had its dreams and pitfalls – but we found our end of the rainbow-

I hope this gives inspiration to those who go into retirement and have to make changes.

My life today could have been much different!

In 2013 – November –

After I arrived at work, my left shoulder was sore!

I thought it was because on the Friday before – I had manhandled five Tile Table Saws –

not only were they cumbersome – but large boxes –

I had to break the skid down because it was too big to put into the storage racks.

I transferred to NVA and told management that I no longer wanted to supervise people –

I just wanted to work – do 110% and go home!

I wanted to retire and at that time I was six months away from retirement.

At 11:00 am. I finally got caught up – and my shoulder had turned into my left arm killing me!

I sat down at my desk and a fellow employee came out into the warehouse –

took one look at me

and asked if he should call an ambulance –

I said”YES”!

He came back and gave me water and two baby aspirins!

They came and put me on a stretcher –

I was having a “HEART ATTACK” –

My arm hurt so much that I would be relieved if you cut it off!

I had for forty years eaten fast food – soda and dairy before I changed eight years previously.

They rushed me to the hospital operating room in Fairfax –

I was told I was having a “WIDOW MAKERS HEART ATTACK” –

thank goodness I had changed my eating habits to drop fast food

and dary eight years before –

but the damage to the arteries had been done.

They put a stent in and the pain stopped!

But – they told me I had to have three more!

They also told me on the day I was supposed to have it done –

they could not do it!

It would be too dangerous and I had to come back and have “OPEN HEART SURGERY”!

Including the stent!

I was distressed –

this was a major operation – would I survive?

I had been taking a supplement –

FRUITS – VEGGIES and BERRIES – 30 of them daily for over eight years!

And I had never missed a day.

And I did not miss even through the surgery – I firmly believe this is what kept me alive.

Now – I had the four by-passes – I was up and walking 10 hours later – they sent me home –

less than forty-eight hours after closing me up –

they wanted me to be a part of a study they were doing –

they told me “YOU ARE THE HEALTHIEST HEART PATIENT WE HAVE EVER HAD”!

I declined – I did not want to travel back and forth.

To this day – going on nineteen years –

I have NEVER missed a day of those supplements!

It has now been TEN and HALF YEARS since those by-passes!

I get tested – blood tests every FOUR MONTHS!

Here are my results for May.

Because of the WIDOWMAKER HEART ATTACK – I TAKE MEDICATIONS

and am told that will be for the rest of my life!

CHOLESTROL – Range – 100 – 199 – my results: 108!

TRIGLYCERIDES – Range – 0 – 149 – my results: 81!

HD CHOLESTROL- Range- 39 or above – my results – 33! ( I need more strenuous exercise – I am 75!)

VDL CHOLESTROL – Range – 5 – 40 – my results – 10!

LDL CHOLESTROL – Range – 0 – 99 – my results – 59!

I am a low diabetic – type two.

I take medication – I eat hardly any sweets – no soda – no dairy –

AIC – They want me below 6.5 % I am at 6.7%

I will try the diet to control this –

so far I have lost over 10 lbs in the last six months.

I am bouncing between 189 and 193 –

I graduated in 1967 at 195!

GLUCOSE – Range – 70 to 99 – my score: 115 –

I am working on this and it came down from the last blood test.

Overall – I am happy with my blood tests –

I keep trying –

I am dedicated to my Juice Plus –

I will always take them each day.

A decade ago – I had a heart attack – and to be honest – I should not be here writing this!

It was so serious that they put one stent in and wanted to put three more –

But because of where they were located and the curve of the artery –

They informed me it was unsafe and I would have to undergo BY-PASSES!

“IT’S A GREAT DAY – TO BE ALIVE!

Here I am a couple weeks after the heart attack and a couple weeks before the by-passes!

Not knowing what the future held and quite worried about the upcoming surgery!

“IT’S A GREAT DAY – TO BE ALIVE”!

At a Washington Nationals ballgame in D.C. – about six months after the by-passes.

I recovered quite fast – eight hours after they performed the surgery – I was on my feet –

I never went to the step-down unit –

I went directly to my room where less than 48 hours – I went home!

“IT’S A GREAT DAY – TO BE ALIVE”!

40 plus years of not eating healthy – resulted in my heart attack – now I know better!

I have adjusted –

and continue on my way to health and nutrition.

This was taken at the Brambleton Town Center where we lived for 14 1/2 years.

We moved here when there was but one high school –

when we moved on they were just opening the fourth high school.

OLD TIMES NOT FORGOTTEN!

Maddy attended the Univerity of Lynchburg for four years – and played soccer all four years.

Ella ( who attends Randolf College and plays soccer) will be a senior next fall –

We as a family traveled as a family – renting a AIRBNB –

So we could participate in the games played when they played each other!

Papa’s World – Family ties in pictures!

Ella – soon to be 21 – Sarah – soon to be 18 and Maddy – soon to be 24!

When they were small – we would take them into D.C. – either the Metro or drive-in.

They loved it – one time we took the Metro to Arlington – walked the cemetery –

and then walked across the 14th. street bridge and walked D.C.!

Sherry has had her “TEAM GENERATIONS” for Juice Plus for 19 years!

She and her two daughters started to bring health and nutrition to families.

Children between ages of 4 and 19 are free if an adult has purchased the product –

and continue to be free as long as that adult continues!

Here is part of her team – all from up and down the East Coast!

On one of our visits to friends in WNY on Lake Chautauqua – riding in a boat – laughing and having so much fun – we have known each other and were neighbors for years and years!

Taylor – now 13 going on 14 – Bode – now 9 soon to be 10 and Cassidy – now 13 soon to be 14!

They lived just a mile from us – then they moved to the other side of Leesburg –

We sold our home and moved to OIB, N.C.

MEMORIES that always are in the back of my mind!

We are of like mind – believing in equality – helping as much as we can –

volunteering at the senior assisted living-

Delivering food to the food pantry.

Trying to be as helpful as we can and understanding those who are less fortunate!

We have always been this way and together, hoping to make a difference!

LOL – but this little project was like working out – heavy lifting – raking – spreading – and digging!

It took us two years of just looking at it and then deciding it was time –

let the work begin!

Anything behind the mulch and toward the trees and bushes – is protected wetlands –

so we can not do anything beyond what you see here –

there is a drainage ditch and until it gets hot – will have water in it.

Beyond this treeline are several ponds – a catchment system to contain runoff and rain.

We have added a birdbath – a white bobbing bird – and an Oleander bush in the foreground.

This is the downward end – water flows this way and out to the ponds.

We have planted perennials here to come back each year.

The upper end has our birdfeeders which attract many birds throughout the day!

Note the yellow flowers – they were eaten down to the mulch by a deer!

Here you can see the bush I planted last spring – and has grown really big.

Forest “FACES” look back at us in our backyard!

23 Bags of mulch I carried from the front – and opened and dumped for Sherry to spread –

we had to first dig out all the weeds – rake and level the ground –

It was labor – a workout for two seniors almost 75 years old!

Along the way – we have friends – who after social distancing – come to visit!

And – we walk the gated community – through he gate –

and onto the beach!

The gentle surf of the beach – water and sand!

Our friendships go back years and years.

We all lived by one another – then we all moved away

but that friendship has endured time and distance.

Always from afar – but close when we make plans to get together.

Cindy – Sherry and Dottie
Jim and Buck – Jim and I played softball together in the mid to late ’70’s Buck and Cindy were our neighbors and they also knew Jim and Dottie!

We plan golf – card games and word games!

We drink a little beer – sing a few songs – do a shot – and laugh!

We would set up a get together every 4 to 6 months –

We lived near DC – Jim and Dottie Va. Beach and Cindy and Buck – Wilmington N.C.

Now we have moved further South

about 50 miles from Buck and Cindy.

It is easy for us to get together and golf every weekend.

Jim and Dottie are now the Northerners!

We all have taken up a new game – Pickle Ball!

This last time – we got together at our condo – played two days of golf –

and Pickleball has now become another game we shall play!

We all practice good health – Sherry – who is a certified Health Coach – leads the way!

She has her own website and for 15 years has been the one who encourages all of us!

Papa’s World – Almost 12 years passed – Sherry’s retirement party!

It seems like it was yesterday –

after 32 years with American Olean Tile- Dal Tile Company-

OWED BY – National Gypsum – Private – Armstrong and finally Mohawk Industries –

Sherry retired!

She had worked in the Olean, N.Y. plant –

Transferred to Chantilly, Va. – Fairfax – two different locations – manager –

and in her last years as an Outside Sales Rep covering NVA and W.V.

Recognition from her peers associates and family members-

It was time to step aside – enjoy life and pursue her dream of health and nutrition.

Becoming a Certified Health Coach for the Juice Plus Company.

And an SSC for THE JUICE PLUS COMPANY and RETIREMENT INCOME.

Her career spanned many years and different job categories –

When she accepted the transfer to NVA –

at the time she was Logistics Manager for American Olean-Dal Tile

at the manufacturing facility in Olean, N.Y.

Sherry – Craig and Debbie – a final farewell for a job well done –

Taking the Chantilly operation from ONE MILLION per year in sales to over SIX MILLION in yearly sales –

then accepting the OUTSIDE SALES REP job for the NVA and WV area.

Holding a Business degree from Houghton College –

numerous inplant positions –

After 32 years – it was time and her colleagues recognized her!

The Juice Plus Conference was held in October in Charlotte, N.C. at the convention center.

The Conference is a yearly event in the Fall – with another yearly leadership conference in the Spring.

Thursday – Friday all day and ending up on Saturday a half day and the public is invited to the Saturday day.

Thursday night is celebrated with a party usually from 7pm. to 9pm.

The agenda is advertised – break out sessions and the main stage with music – speakers –

results of research and ongoing events and company information.

A big part is the recognition of partners and advancements.

A marketplace where you can buy gifts or apparel – open for the entire conference.

The opening main speakers are on the main stage, here Jason Dorsey spoke for over an hour to an audience of 4000 plus partners.

A mother and two daughters formed this team in 2005 – 2006!

In NVA after attending a beneficial living presentation.

Sherry first saw the product at an NBC for Your Health in Washington, D.C.

Asked if she could get the nutrients from 30 different Fruits – Vegetables and Berries in a powdered form encapsulated – with published research on the benefits of such a powder –

SHE REPLIED, ” SIGN ME UP – I DO NOT EAT ENOUGH VEGETABLES”!

Almost 18 years later – the TEAM GENERATIONS has expanded into multiple generations –

sons – daughters and now grandchildren –

three generations of healthy eating and healthy habits!

Today – the Children’s research has been expanded to a child- –

with a sponsor – starting at age 4 –

until their 26th. birthday –

will get fruits and vegetables free for all those years as long

as the sponsor continues with their own order!

We had a busy schedule for the Conference at the Convention Center in Charlotte – so we walked –

as we have done all week – from our AIRBNB to and from the Convention Center through downtown Charlotte!

The last time I went was pre-pandemic!

We are going on 18 years of being involved in our health!

Before that – I WAS A FAST FOOD JUNKIE!

We – Sherry and I traveled to Charlotte, N.C. – a four-hour drive – no plane for me!

Where we met SIX LADIES – all members of our TEAM GENERATIONS –

which was formed almost 18 years ago by a mother and two daughters!

That team now consists of TWO QMND – QSSC’S – QVF’S and many more partners.

Not all could make the trip here but are in our thoughts.

Six beautiful ladies – all striving to make children and families healthy!

It has been a purposeful journey all these years – and we have made many team members and friends in the HEALTHY LIVING WORLD!

The woman in my life who started TEAM GENERATIONS almost 18 years ago – Sherry!!!!!

The wall in our rented AIRBNB in downtown Charlotte –

we have eight of us all part of “TEAM GENERATIONS” for the JUICE PLUS COMPANY.

Dinner out after our first full day – once we parked the car – we walked everywhere we needed to be.

Right in the heart of the city.

Yes – we stayed right in the middle of the skyline you see here.

Our view at night – everything lit up – we were a 13-minute walk to the convention center

where the Juice Plus Conference was held.

The first full day was a breakout session and I elected not to go –

The ladies of TEAM GENERATION are on their way to the Convention Center.

My view while I worked on my blog! I did leave once and walked to the Convention Center –

I went into what I thought was the building but a security guard directed me to a side door-

She told me to go into the Hilton and they would direct me to the Center.

I walked into the middle of a big sports production –

lights – cameras and action!

A crescent-shaped both were set up with five people – just like you see on NFL TV!

There were people with cameras – big ones with microphones –

And very tall basketball players in all types of different uniforms!

I had walked right into the middle of MEDIA DAY for men’s BASKETBALL of the ACC!

ATLANTIC COAST CONFERENCE!

I asked a reporter how to get to the Convention Center and he directed me out the back door –

turn right – follow the metro tracks – There was a sidewalk – that led to the Center.

I came in the back door and ran into one of our Team members –

She told me where to go for my packet!

My first walk alone in the big city – I got lost – and ended up in the middle of a TV set – but found my way

to the place where the JUICE PLUS CONFERENCE was being held! LOL

We traveled back to NVA for two weeks to spend time with family.

Little Cassidy would zoom often and give her MORMOR the countdown in days and sleeps!

All SIX on Christmas day in Lake Holiday – Cross Junction – Va.

We gathered the day of Christmas to all celebrate together – dinner – presents – games.

Christmas eve at the Krohn’s in Leesburg Va.

A celebration with Marcus’s family – dinner and gift opening – white elephant gift!

I thought two weeks would be a long time – but it went by really quick – family time!

The manger scene in Tammy and Marcus house – made by Sherry’s father Bill – is always with us.

Her father made one for family members – we also have one at our house.

We brought the pine combs with us picking them off the ground in Cameron Woods –

the three little ones decorated them into small Christmas trees!

What we always do – family hikes – warm Christmas day. Sherry – patriarch of the family.

Our family is into health – nutrition – exercising – walking running – for the past sixteen years!

PAPA’S WORLD – FAMILY CHRISTMAS 2021 MEMORIES!

This is me! LOL, but we do enjoy golfing – by ourselves or with friends!

Sherry and Papa – married for over 40 years – together for 42 years! Living now what is called THE SALT LIFE!

We are retired – although for the past sixteen years – Sherry has owned and operated a network marking business!

Allowing us to retire in N.C. in Cameron Woods Community, Ocean Isle Beach!

We are four miles to one beach and six miles to another beach.

Here we are with a neighbor on Sunset Beach – relaxing in the sun on a weekday – living what locals call THE SALT LIFE!

We found this little piece of paradise – where the temps are moderate during FALL – WINTER and SPRING!

It can and is HOT in the summer – but we find the ocean – with a breeze – more than comfortable.

5 to 10 minutes and we are sitting on the sand!

The beach was a major factor in choosing this area – but also – love to golf!

We are within thirty minutes of over 30 golf courses!

Four of them are right across the street!

We can choose whatever we want to play!

Now – we are not all that good – but being out in the open on the golf course is what we love.

We have purchased what is called the first tee – which gives us major breaks in what we pay each 18 holes!

32 different courses – just call up and make an afternoon tee time!

We like playing afternoons as most people like to play before noon!

Major shopping – outlets and big box stores – are only a thirty-minute drive for us down Myrtle Beach.

We have been growing like this for over ten years – no dirt – no pesticides – just water – nutrients and air!

Our unit is like these two and we have grow lights for inside growing – but with the weather here – we grow outside all year!

Papa’s World – family – most are gone – but memories linger on – missing them.

My step father John – my mother Mary and my brother in law Bill.

John was a decorated WWII hero – with the purple heart and numerous other medals.

He captured a castle and a Nazi officer out of uniform – there is a story in a military journal

that is in the WWII museum in Eldred Pa.that chronicles that event.

He took from that officer a automatic machine gun pistol – vintage WWI – that also resides in the museum

and is worth upwards in the thousands of dollars. They keep it locked away as it is so valuable.

He was wounded several times and went back into action.

Bill was a vet of the forgotten war – Korea – he seldom talked about it but while I was growing up –

he gave to me his sleeping bag that he used in the cold winters there.

I admire his stamina as all it was is a wool blanket inside a canvas liner!

I would get very cold while sleeping outside on the ground in it!

He was more to me than a brother in law – he was my friend and like a brother to me.

One time I was out with him on patrol in the cop car – he was the town cop –

We drove down across the tracks and out past the old pipe building –

he saw a woodchuck and said to me –

“Do I get him”?
“Sure I said”!

He pulled out his gun and from the front seat shot that old woodchuck –

I almost went deaf from that gun going off!

I said ” JESUS CHRIST BILL” and then we both just burst out laughing!

Lesson – never fire a gun from inside a car – you can barely hear for like 10 minutes!

John and Mary ( my mother) holding pies that she made from scratch!

Mom was known all over the town and county and into NYS for her baking.

She would bake rolls – bread – pies and cakes. Sweet rolls and sticky buns.

There was not anything she could not knead and bake and all from memory!

She did not need a receipt – she just did it after almost 85 years of her life baking!

She baked as a child learning from her mother who passed at 85 years old.

Mom was next to the youngest of 11 kids and was almost 98 years old when she passed.

She supplied pies and cakes and rolls for a diner in town.

She was so kind and loving – warm and gentle – but she also was a strong women – way before her time – she believed in equal rights and taught me that – she would come up with these sayings that made me laugh – ” You are as useless as a two petered billy goat”

Or she would say ” You are as useless as teats on a boar hog”! She had me in stitches –

she also played the accordion my father the spoons and sang and my uncle jack the wash board.

They would do this at family picnics and if the beer was free – at social events.

When she was young – she traveled with my grandma in the logging camps of Pa.

Making breakfast – lunch and dinner as a way to make money in the depression.

My father passed away in 1969 after a long battle with cancer – leaving mom a widow and my younger brother just entering H.S. After about ten years she met John – and they remarried – both of them.

They were together until he passed away at age 81.

She called him “JOHNNY BOY” and he was so good to her – just what she needed after ten years losing my dad.

He could fix anything and construction was his forte.

His cars and trucks immaculate even though they were ten years old – showroom condition.

He fixed up and remodled the house which she had kept going all those years .

That same house today is still in the family after almost 78 years –

my great niece lives there today.

Long known as THE FORGOTTEN WAR –

The Korean conflict war memorial

is to me – “WALKING AMONG THE GHOSTS ” of war.

GOOD MORNING


My brother in law Bill was in this war –

and not once did he ever talk to me about it !

The closest we came was him giving me his sleeping bag –

as a teenager who used it to sleep out on –

North Western chilly nights

in a little town of Eldred Pa.

The sight is becoming – the soldiers – silently walking –

through the shrubs – gray – white –

the effect is startling.

One can almost feel the tension in the air –

the expected clash about to happen –

I often wonder what it would be like to be there –

not in Korea – but here –

on a dark silent night –

with mist swirling in from the Potomac !

Debby – and Sherry – before we went to the Elton Awards for the Juice Plus Company – have to obtain certain statuses for an invite to the company.

Sometimes eight or more years ago – beach vacation and the granddaughters and the only boy!

Papa’s World – Spring cleaning – pollen season – the back patio!

The yellow pollen was everywhere – so happy that we had the back lanai enclosed with EZ-BREEZE – allowing us to keep

it outside and not all over our furniture indoors!

But – the outdoor patio was covered as were the outdoor window screens and the screens to the lanai!

So – out came the water hose – and I moved all the furniture off the patio as well as the rug.

I began to wash everything down – starting with the siding and the screens.

I gently used the shower feature on the hose to rinse off the Tower Garden – and the big chairs which are too heavy to move and are connected.

The chairs are really heavy and connected – hard to move for Sherry and me!

I also gently showered the flowers – which we have grown since last spring and the Solo Stove fire pit!

Now on such a nice day – I would rather be out golfing – but this yellow pollen from all the pine trees is everywhere.

I have even seen it in the ocean!

When done and everything is back in place – glad to have it over with and nice and clean – however – this will have to be done again as the pollen season lasts for a while.

When the wind blows it is like a yellow dust cloud floating in the air.

A good rain will wash a lot of it down onto the ground but it forms a yellow scum on the water in the ponds!

Papa’s World – Through Winter into Spring – Tower Garden.

We now are over ten years of growing our own produce – and down here in the Carolinas – border of N.C. and S.C. –

we have grown year-round – Summer – Fall – WINTER and into the beginning of Spring!

In WINTER when it does get cold – we cover it up during the night and day if we have to – the sun can get through

this mesh covering also protects it from below freezing – 19 degrees one night – and we put our flowers under it!

Here are the last Springs flowers which I moved to the back and covered with the mesh!

The Tower Garden ( http://www.ssherrylynn49.com) and the flowers on the back patio – we had continuous produce all year!

This spot protects the plants and also is in the sun for most of the early morning and early afternoon!

All I do is make sure water is in the base – by watching the WHITE FLOAT rod – when it goes down to the marker on the float –

I add water – and every so often – I add a cup of nutrients ( 2 different types)

NO WEEDING and NO PESTICIDES ( http://www.sf.juiceplus.com )

We eat salads almost every night and soon in this planting – cukes and tomatoes and celery along with lettuce and herbs.

For over SIXTEEN YEARS – we have added the above natural FRUITS – VEGETABLES – BERRIES – OMEGAS

to our daily diets in CAPSULE – GUMMIE – BARS – and DRINK forms. ( 30 different FRUITS – VEGGIES and BERRIES)

The OMEGAS are not made from FISH OIL – but from ALGAE FARMS ( which fish eat Algae to produce OMEGAS)

to avoid the MERCURY found in fish.

Papa’s World – When they were young and small – MEMORIES!

Today – I look back – back to the little ones – who now are the older ones and the next three whom I now call the little ones!

All six of the grandchildren several years ago before we moved to the Carolinas – this at our home in NVA!

Today – the oldest graduates from college – the second oldest is a Sophomore in college – the third oldest is a Sophomore in H.S.

The twins are in sixth grade and Bode – is in second grade.

All have been down to visit us – and the younger ones have spent a week’s vacation with us here at our new home!

The twins – Cassidy on the left and Taylor on the right – with Papa – they were so small when born – both just three pounds plus!

Today – Taylor – then Sarah ( who is 5’10”) and Cassidy – who is actually now growing faster than Taylor!

Sarah is a Sophomore in H.S.

MORMOR – Sherry – and Papa – at the beach shortly after Sherry retired early to pursue her Juice Plus business full time! She is a certified health coach and guides me in healthy eating.

Today the three oldest are with their parents – Maddy – then Ella and Sarah. They have all grown up!

Our memories of times gone by – forever young in our minds! Maddy – Sarah and Ella!

Good day everyone – our lives have changed – from city living to the SALT LIFE in the CAROLINA’S!

Before – we called home in NVA 30 miles from Washington, D.C. and near the Dulles airport –

5 miles to the Washington Commanders headquarters!

A very busy area – traffic – thousands of homes being built –

They were just completing the fourth H.S. in our community since we moved there 16 years ago.

And then we moved South – to the borders of N.C. and S.C.!

We thought we had our retirement home when we built our last house in NVA!

SURPRISE – housing values went up – the stock market and 401 K went down – SO WE SOLD!

The adventure continues – hoping this is THE DREAM HOME!

And we took our internet business for SIXTEEN YEARS – with us!

This has been a blessing in residual income – better than a second job!

In my autumn years – I channel out the negative press – news – and look for the good in humankind!

Papa – chilling at Brickyard Landing golf course in N.C. – a fifteen-minute drive from our home on the ICW!

We had come to the driving range to hit some golf balls and then have a drink on the veranda overlooking the 18th fairway and green!

HAPPY LIFE living each day one day at a time!

While I have never done this – I have come close and one time my buddy did this and went over to the homeowner and said he was sorry!

That proved to be a good thought and outcome as the owner then accepted his apology!

I have been eating these for 16-plus years – sometimes in place of a meal or on the golf course.

I tend to like the TART CHERRY!

Introducing myself and my wife – Tom ( Papa) and Sherry – married over 40 years – from NWPA – in the Alleghany Mountains!

We have lived in Pa. N.Y. Va. S.C. and N.C.

Second marriage for both of us – combining two daughters ( hers ) and two sons ( mine) –

The two daughters live in NVA and the two sons live in NWPA.

Both retired from a major producer and importer of Ceramic tile

We both strive to be kind – generous – caring – loving – helpful and make a contribution to humankind.

We have had close friends for almost 40 years and some beyond that – here Buck and Cindy who live about 40 miles from us.

We were neighbors back in WNY and have continued to see each other through the years.

Now that we are within one hour of each other – we often times get together to golf – have dinner – or see theater shows in our area.

For SIXTEEN years Sherry has been a partner for the Juice Plus Company – she is a certified health coach –

and has had an internet business during all this time.

This has provided a stable extra income for our retirement for the past 10 years that she has been retired.

Family is very important to us – all have visited us in our new retirement home in N.C.

Papa’s World – SIXTEEN PLUS YEARS to healthy aging!

We choose after our reaching senior status – to do everything we could possibly do to age as healthy as we could manage to do.

We started watching what we ate – cutting out fast food – soda – milk ( for me) – reducing dairy – and drinking.

We had already years before quit smoking!

Now we started to walk – run every day – for me that was walking – I run really hard – thudding my steps and jarring my whole body!

Vegetables – fruit and some protein – reduce red meat considerably.

Eating grilled fish or baked chicken – drinking a lot of water every day!

We found though for us it was really hard to get the recommended servings each day of fruits and vegetables.

Sherry found a supplement of whole food in a capsule – all the nutrients retained for consumption and immediately go into the bloodstream!

Over 30 different fruits- vegetables and berries in six capsules each day!

And now – for sixteen years – I have not missed a day!

This is what I have taken for 16 years! I will be 74 years old on my next birthday as will Sherry!

We feel as though we have found our answer to aging healthy!

Several years ago we added a fourth bottle to our daily consumption – OMEGAS – not from fish oil – but ALGAE – from the JP company farm! NO MERCURY!

I also will have a nutritious bar – all good “STUFF” to have with the COMPLETE SHAKE I also have!

I prefer the DUTCH CHOCOLATE – with crushed ice – a cup of water and a cup of Almond or Soy milk!

Sometimes a teaspoon of peanut butter or half a banana!

It tastes like a WENDY’S FROSTY!

And to satisfy my sweet tooth – we buy the GUMMIES – in vegetables – fruits, and berries –

they do the sweet tooth thing for me and are all nutrient-based fruits – veggies, and berries!

Great for kids and those who have a tough time swallowing the capsules!

Celebrating the old year with hopes – dreams and family and friends! MEMORIES!!!!

Our two youngest granddaughters – Taylor and Cassidy – started violin lessons in the new school year in September –

Both doing a concert and solos – and in my humble opinion – are doing very well!

We are from Western N.Y. – 65 miles South of Buffalo and are fans of the football team – maybe this year they will once again get

back to the Super Bowl – in hindsight – a very good year!

Our internet business has just gone national on a dozen TV programs – 16 years we have had this income-producing business –

This is now I believe year 30 of this product – and I have never missed a day in 16 years!

In our retirement – this has allowed us to live the way we do – and also age healthy one day at a time!

Close to being 74 years old for the both of us – MEMORIES of years gone past and years to come!

When we sold the house – the new owners had adopted

a plant based diet – they observed the Tower Gardens

and made the offer to purchase them!

Along with 95 % of our household goods!

This Tower Garden is the one that has the cukes – tomatoes and spreading plants

We did two outside – in the patio we limited it – so as not to spread out

This one is inside the patio and will not spread out so much

There is enough produce to provide for several families

I often over the ten years would give away as we had too much to eat.

You can see just how much is there

They will only have to make sure it has water –

and once every 10 days or so – some nutrients –

and just pick and eat!

This will produce until extra cold weather – frost – ice or snow.

Sherry even made bread and butter pickles –

and we stored tomatoes in newspapers for a while.

Papa’s World – Muirs Beach

We were on our way for our appointment –

To enter Muir ‘s Forest to see the Redwoods –

when we got redirected to Muir’s Beach –

because we were 15 minutes early !

Good Morning

Not knowing anything about this –

It was another unexpected visit to something we had not planned !

Now we had to drive about ten minutes down the Mountain –

and it was FOGGY !

In the parking lot – I could see all these houses on the hill side

and the fog was just lifting.

Walk way to the beach

When he said beach -my first thought was –

there must be a small lake somewhere up here !

And when we got there

A cluster of houses dotted the hill side

Who lives way out here and how do they get food ?

How dumb was I ?

Well – this was no pond- lake –

It was a BEACH on the COVE of the OCEAN !

Now I understood why all the houses and there must be another road !

We had been directed to the Ocean

and all the while we were in the mountains driving to Muir’s Forest

I had no idea on the other side of the mountain

we were that close !

Papa’s World – The power to take your life in a new direction!

It was not easy to decide to sell our home – almost everything in it –

and move to another state – some 450 miles away!

It all started with the stock market slide – around the time the Pandemic hit!

Our retirement is in the 401 K and it took a big hit!

But – there is always a but!

The housing market was taking off!

From the last reduction in prices around 2006 –

and losing in that market –

We were now almost even – a rebound!

And it was going up!

Our oldest grand kids – Maddy Sarah Ella

With the three oldest grand kids

One in college – one in the fall in college and one who has a life of her own

And the three little ones – we would make it a point to return often –

after all – we were retired – and Sherry had her home based business –

that could go anywhere with phone and internet service

We would sell!

AND WE DID!

After 14 1/2 years – with the downturn behind us in the housing market

WE MADE A PROFIT and had all of our equity!

We followed our plan – sold our house and furniture –

for three months we went back and forth between our daughters houses!

We had our equity to either rent – or buy – we had choices!

And then by chance – I stumbled upon this – having no thought of moving to S.C. !

Our view today – we left end of September and went to North Myrtle Beach to Ocean Keyes!

Since that time – we have been home twice – holidays for three weeks – and now for a week!

The grand kids have been down – the little ones – and by the time you read this –

the older ones will have been here!

Our family – when we returned for a visit.

Our family when they came to visit!

We have started a new life – away but close enough to make it home in seven hours.

We are happy in our senior years – living life to the plus each day!

Papa’s World – my brother Mike – known in the family nicknamed by Bill as JUICE – gone – but not forgotten – we grew up together.

Mike – shoveling snow for my mother.

He had red curly hair – a smile a mile wide and a laugh and giggle that you knew right away who it was.

He was my younger brother – we were like a second family for my parents –

Donna and Roger were 15 and 10 years older.

We had a sister who died at birth in between the two sets of kids.

We fought like cats and dogs do – but we also were close.

He instigated a lot of it and would scream bloody murder as loud as he could when I had enough.

I was the one who into trouble but mom always knew as she later told me.

He was just o darn likable with that hair and giggle.

MOM ( Mary) Sue ( Susan) his wife and Mike ( we look alike here I think.)

We played all the time together – cowboys and Indian’s – running the neighborhood –

He was always hurting himself – one time he climbed up on top of a attached shed at a neighbors house.

He was going to ambush me but I saw him and pretended to shoot him.

I saw what he was going to do and I yelled STOP – but he did it anyway –

always acting real life he sort of collapsed and rolled off the shed to the ground as if dead.

But there was a stone bird bath under the shed roof and when he came down he hit his elbow on it!

Off to the doctors office we went and then in the ambulance to the hospital to have surgery on the elbow!

He had to have a pin put in and that elbow was off to the side -making his arm seem crooked.

A few years later – we were on the front porch – and he had climbed up onto the porch railing – I told him he had better get down before he fell.

Well – as always – he gave me that silly laugh and giggle – and I could not help but smile until he did fall.

At the end of the porch beneath that railing – a 2 x 10 stuck out – he came down and hit that board with his other elbow and we repeated the same thing all over again with another surgery – now he had two elbows exactly the same!

But -it seemed like it was a perfect solution for him as it perfected his golf swing and he had a lot of power and strength in those arms – one time I was with him – and this was way before anyone was hitting the ball 300 yards.

We were playing the old number one hole at Smethport – he was a Freshman – me just beginning my senior year –

He hit that ball and because of how his elbows were now shaped – he hit it straight with power. That hole was a gradual uphill some 305 yards!

His ball ended up past the hole and into the yard behind it! Some 50 or 60 yards past! Uphill!

If I had not been there to see it – I would not believe it!

Gene Fazio – who was a card member of the PGA and a premier golfer in the Pa. and NYS area –

told me – “IF I HAD MY SHORT GAME AND MIKE’S DRIVING – I WOULD GO ON THE PGA TOUR”!

Mike was a scratch golfer even with those elbows.

Mike later with a red beard and that red curly hair!

Mike ended up bigger than me – he was as tall as my father who was a little over six foot tall.

The brother’s – Roger – Mike and I got our curly hair from my dad – my grandfather was bald.

Mike ended up around 215 pounds and played football – but he could kick that ball just like he hit golf balls.

Far and straight – he became a field goal kicker way before that was common in H.S.

His kick offs were always through the end zone and he went on to college at Mansfield University of Pa.

Where he became the kicker for the college football team.

He graduated in Criminal Justice.

My step dad John – Sue and Mike.

As I said before he was always doing something and getting hurt!

He was riding my bike one day and I told him to get off as he was not big enough to ride it!

His legs could barley touch the pedals – sure enough his foot slipped and he came down on the cross bar –

off to the hospital we went again – operation for a rupture!

My brother in law Bill nick named him JUICE!

I really do not know why other than he was like electric – energy running through him – always a live wire!

Then one day Bill and I were sitting on the front porch –

and he said “HERE COMES JUICE”!

And then Bill said “JESUS CHRIST”!

And Bill hollered at him – “JUICE- PUT THE ROPE DOWN”!

But too late!

Mike was walking up the street twirling a dog rope with a clasp on the end of it over his head like a cowboy!

He got it too low just after Bill yelled to put it down and it started to wind around his head lower and lower.

It came around and smacked him right on the mouth –

“KNOCKING OUT HIS FRONT TOOTH”!

Off to the dentist office we went – oral surgery to extract what remained in his mouth of that tooth.

THAT IN A NUTSHELL WAS MY BROTHER MIKE!

Red hair – bearded – always smiling and that silly laugh – giggle.

I MISS HIM as he passed away when I was 35.

Every morning for the past SIXTEEN YEARS – I have FRUITS – VEGETABLES – BERRIES and OMEGAS before breakfast!

You see – I have these capsules and I take two of each of what I said above.

I choose to do this for my own general health – because I do not eat the required amount in servings each day!

Since I am not rock climbing and heights scare me – we walk almost every day – I want to age healthy – maintain my memory – and live life to the plus each day!

My early years were eating anything – drinking anything and yes I smoked – I gave it up 38 years ago at age 35!

But I had to change – I choose this because the research – which is published – showed me everything –

and has changed me for the better – and it has helped me!

We are in the autumn years of our lives – here we are last August – on the ICW – living life one day at a time and life to the plus.

Choose wisely – select carefully – and always think before you leap!

Life is full of many paths to take – one little change can result in whole different life.

Think about this for a moment- what if?

Had you selected a different place to go in your direction of life!

Today’s World would look much different for you.

Those grandchildren that you love so dearly – might not exist.

Those old friends may never have happened.

You might be married to someone else.

You may not be retired but still working and that beach chair never happens!

Dare to be yourself!

Many doors exist for you – either you open or close them. Go through or turn away. The choice you make is owned by you.

Roads are not only straight – but curves and ups and downs come at you fast or slow. You make that choice.

Look around and see where you are and then think – what would have been had I gone another way?

But – do not dwell on the past – look for the things to come – be they small or large – the choice is yours to make.

Choose your path – choose your future and make the best of it you can.

My life would be so different in many ways had I made this or that choice.

I have no regrets – I like where I am – and I like where I have come from.

I choose to write every day – to record family – friends and our life together.

I choose to be me – I own my destiny.

And I am grateful for those choices I or we made.

Choosing to be me – choosing to love – care – God – family – to record it all and preserve it for future generations.

You can choose – you have a choice and you can make Choices – it is all up to you. Be wise – careful and think.

Be brave – daring and look forward – open those doors – go forth or turn away – make that choice.

YOU have the ABILITY to make your OWN LIFE!

Whatever and wherever it leads you – is yours to choose – be kind – have belief – and go forward

In the world of camping – firepits – roasting marshmallows – I admit – I am not all that into it!

This was really my wifes idea – as she was growing up – camping – boating was what her family did.

I did all the normal young lad stuff – sleeping out under the stars( freezing in those NWPA nights.)

We sometimes had a campfire while on the hill sleeping out.

I was a scout and we did overnight camping in tents –

as a youth group counsler – we spent a week in the far northern Canadian Parks.

Canoeing and camping for a week with 14 young students – 7th – 12th. grade kids.

But it is not on my bucket list!

Sherry showed this picture to me – saying how would you like that on the new home patio?

It is called a SOLO STOVE – and once it gets going – smokeless!

It will burn more efficiently so it says – and is toasty warm to sit around with no smoke and sparks!

OKAY – I say – thinking there goes my couch – snacks and Netflix!

So now – we buy little bags of wood ( $$$$$$) and those little tiny firestarters!

I prefer those wrapped in paper logs that you light and they burn for like 4 hours! LOL

So now I am an official campfire sit-in back patio sort of guy!

I really did not expect this – and yes – once it starts – there is no smoke or sparks.

It does get toasty warm – so much so that sometimes you have to move back!

We have the perfect set up – almost sheltered on three sides – concrete slab – comfy chairs.

And when the family came – Marcus and Tammy and the three little ones ( I call them) we had a fire each night!

And they had SMORES!

We even went scaveger to find old dead wood in the woods behind and across the street!

Do you know when the tempature gets in the low 50’s – snakes become almost inactive?

Otherwise – that was a no-go for me!

I have been converted – I am a SOLO STOVE convert – basking by the firepit – no shoes – no socks and no problem!

Now – the patio concrete has been painted a slate gray ( I did that) two coats – and we have two small bags of wood to burn!

I still like the single wrapped in the paper log to burn for four hours which you can see here as a trial!

And – this SOLO STOVE is everything they say it was!

Papa’s World – Thanksgiving day walk on Sunset Beach – N.C.

Auntie as we call her – came to spend four days with us over Thanksgiving – we kept her busy!

Fat Harolds – Carolina Opry – beach – shopping – Boundry House to eat – Christmas boat flotilla –

Ocean Isle Beach golf cart parade – more shopping and exploring the upper end of OIB.

It was a good four days – tired but got a lot in.

For Thanksgiving day – there were quite a few people on the beach and a couple in the water!

Papa’s World – Early morning sunrise around the lawn and house.

Stepping out the front door of our house in Cameron Woods to the morning sunrise!

We choose this lot because of the sunrise and sunset from our driveway!

You look right to the East and left to the West!

We have been here going on fifteen months – and have had numerous sunrise and sunset skies

that is absolutely beautiful!

This is us! No snow or ice!

We are in OIB but on the mainland side – six miles to Sunset Beach and four miles to OIB.

The sunrise from the backyard – all the tree line to the right is protected!

Our backyard borders a protected area – it can not be developed or cut down – the second reason we chose this lot to build our new home!

As we progress into the future – we have carefully had the landscape done – replacing pine straw with stones and mulch – eventually going to all stones and borders.
We also wanted an open patio and a firepit – along with a place to grow our own organic veggies – which we have done now year round!

This is now our third harvest since early spring – and are going on our second harvest of cucumbers!

She finally talked me into purchasing a grill and we often grill out here – we have no gas and the house is all electric – and electric stove tops we have found are hard to keep clean – thus I grill! LOL

Our little flower garden next to the treeline – now if we can keep the deer from munching the leaves! LOL

Bring a little humor into your life!

We choose to move to Ocean Isle Beach after living for nine months in North Myrtle Beach –

sixteen miles away.

We are about eight miles to the S.C. – N.C border.

We have access to two beaches within six miles and a half dozen others within thirty minutes!

WE ARE NOW LIVING “BEACH LIFE:!

Strolling the beach or just sitting on the pier at either beach is a dream come true.

We worked a combined 79 1/2 years between us at the same corporation.

We are retired but still have had an internet business for sixteen years –

allowing us to live the life we dreamed about.

We both wanted warm weather as it does not bother us.

We both love the water and the ability to explore and have options each day.

LIVING LIFE TO THE PLUS as we call it.

Our goal in life.

PAPA and SHERRY – Papa’s World – BEACH LIFE!

Papa’s World – bringing color to the back yard with Crepe Myrtles and Oleander bushes.

I wanted color back here – the builder planted white Crepe Myrtles out front – these are WATERMELLON!
We also replaced all the Pine Straw and moved it to the tree line where we had three Oleanders put in!

They are young plants and hoping they will take hold – watering them everyday – but next year they should bloom

a bright RED againest the back drop of the protected tree line.

The second Crepe Myrtle – all trees in the yard now have stone and brick or edging depending where they are. The ones next to the house are mulched in black and serve as a contrast to the light gray siding.

A quiet neighborhood – but already a man rang the doorbell trying to sell home securtiy!

We are slowly putting in flowers that will come back year to year – hoping to make this area wild but colorful!
This will be a on going work in progress – adding a little bit here and there!

WHERE FRIENDS MEET THE FAMILY – FAMILY MEETS FRIENDS!

Papa’s World – almost eight years since my heart attack – living in health one day at a time.

The dawning of each day is another day for me living life to the plus!

We had a lifestyle change 17 years ago – I had eaten unhealthy for 45 years – much of that time fast food!

And I am fortunate that we took steps to eat healthily – as in my mind – I would not have survived –

For I had a Massive Heart Attack almost eight years ago!

Up until then, I was a junkie at Mcdonald’s!

But Sherry started taking nutrition classes and I followed what she learned.

I had already done the damage to my heart previously

had I not changed –

Well – the doctors told me I was the healthiest heart attack they had ever seen!

What we had done for nine years saved my life!

Today – I eat greens – chicken and fish and very little red meat.

I gave up fast foods – most red meat – most dairy and no more milk!

No more sodas and cut way down on sweets.

It is a very hard thing to do – so my motto today is LIVING LIFE ONE DAY AT A TIME !

Once a day – a health drink – a rainbow of colors – a meal supplement – made by my wife for both of us, and it tastes so good!

Cilantro – frozen blueberries – orange juice – two bananas – and a teaspoon of Organic Barley Grass

and Micro Ingredients( Vitamin A – Iron – Protein – Sodium – Carbohydrates – 1 g)

Blend in a blender and then drink a full glass!

Keep a good sense of humor!

Sherry is a certified Health Coach – we have also for 17 years taken a supplement called Juice Plus.

A process where 30 fruits – vegetables and berries – are juiced – dried – and put into capsule form or gummies!

Taken every day – this is what changed the most in my health.

And as a way to watch what I eat every day so as not to overload my system –

I also drink one of their powdered shakes – French Vanilla or Dutch Chocolate

and for me, it is a meal supplement! Usually lunch!

This is so true for me!

I now call my life – LIVING LIFE TO THE PLUS – ONE DAY AT A TIME!

It has been a journey – one that I can write about as I am still alive!

This is me – this is my life – my reasons to still be here –

Maddy Sarah Ella

Today I write on the two younger granddaughters – having written about Maddy in a previous blog.

Ella – caring – always does what you ask with no questions.

Warm – friendly – my LITTLE TINY as I called her.

Sarah – outgoing – fashion – arts – glamor – Broadway – big cities.

My Whirlwind when she was little.

ELLA – today a picture of health – playing college soccer and starting as a Freshmen.

While she may be a little homesick – she is thriving at college.

Stable – understanding – polite – team – not an “I” in her vocabulary!

NUMBER 10 – this is ELLA!

She is who she is – kind – smart – always giving – understanding and an idol to Bode as she is to many little ones.

Sarah today a Freshmen in H.S.

Try as I might to keep them little once again – she has grown these last years –

soon to be 5′ 9″ and beyond like her grandmother Sherry – as is Ella.

She is eleven years old in this picture – she is going to be very tall – as Sherry is 5′ 9″!

Everytime – she will reach for her hand – to hold as they walk.

Quiet – always does what you ask – sweet – caring – until she gets upset – then it is TAYLOR BEAR!

She is the one who takes care of the new puppy MARLEY –

She also loves to ride horses and takes lessons once a week for the last 4 or 5 years!

And then there is Bode – who adores Ella and when he watches her play –

you can hear him all over the stadium!

BODE – sitting all by himself – cheering her on!

She is his idol – and he is following in her footsteps playing soccer.

Someday his time to shine will come!

And when it does – I hope Ella is there to see it and then Cheer him on!

One is the oldest granddaughter while the second is the youngest granddaughter with her twin sister.

One is in her third year at University of Lynchburg – Enviromental Engineering major.

One is in the fifth grade – so caring she calls or zooms her grandmother almost every day.

One starts at the attack front position for the ranked lady soccer hornets soccer team.

And had played in 13 games as a freshmen – started her Sophomore year and again as a junior.

One moved to sit beside her older cousin at the soccer game.

Both are dear to our hearts!

Papa’s World – show a little LOVE!

We went to Lynchburg Va. to watch our grand daughter play soccer.

Our oldest daughter – her husband and the three grand daughters

all were there – the next day we went for a walk along the river.

Mike Sarah ( youngest) Maddy ( oldest – college soccer) Ella ( senior – college soccer in the Fall)

We watched the game Friday night in the rain – Maddy scored a goal

And the next day – after her practice – went for a walk along the river.

Sarah ( 5’7″) Ella ( 5′ 8 1/2″) Maddy ( 5′ 6″) Sherry ( 5′ 9″)

The girls are tall – Sarah seems like she will be the tallest as she is only 14.

But – when we were home at our other daughters house-

Taylor who is only ten years old – is already 5′ 1/2″ tall!

I think she will be the tallest along with Bode.

Our walk lasted a couple hours

as we were going for a late lunch and a early dinner

Debby ( Mom) already shorter than her daughters.

We walked – a fun walk – a lot of laughter!

It was a fun afternoon – a break from the rain – warm enough when walking

to enjoy the time together.

Papa’s World – In less than FOUR WEEKS – growing VEGGIES in Cameron Woods Community!

We have grown our own VEGGIES for almost ten years!

A neighbor saw ours and wanted to know more about it!

They made the purchase of the system and I went to their home to put it together.

Less than four weeks later – they asked me and my wife back to check it out and show them when to add water and nutrients!

The pictures here are what I found in less than FOUR WEEKS!

Front view of the system – and it must have sunlight four to six hours a day!

The system is grown only with water – air, and nutrients!

A pump is in the bottom reservoir of water – and is attached to a timer outside.

Water and nutrients are pumped up the center of the white tower –

where it trickles downward mixing with air on the roots of the plants.

You can start harvesting salads in a couple weeks with no pesticides!

From growing system to table!

No weeding – no pesticides that you do not know what they are!

Grown in your own residence – from seeds

anything that does not grow on a tree!

And with today’s cost of produce

it is a winner for you!
