No Politics

Papa’s World – Staying positive and Indepenent!

June 25th. 1982 – The day we were married and combined two sets of children into our FAMILY!

During my early adult years –

I really did not have much thought on politics!

My mother and father –

Or siblings or relatives,

Just did not talk about it!

Having married at such a young age –

Because I thought it was the right thing to do –

As we were going to have a baby!

My biggest concern back then was to find a job,

And provide for a family!

Politics was not part of my life,

So I registered as an INDEPENDENT!

To this day –

I could not tell you what any of my friends in high school-

Believed in!

We-

Just did not talk about it!

I have always been middle of the road.

There are things I strongly believe in that are right and left!

I find myself wanting the truth –

So I fact-check.

I just do not trust talking heads!

I look for truth and common sense.

PARTY means nothing to me.

I have always had a positive outlook on life.

I live life one day at a time.

I believe in God, Family, friends,

And helping when I can.

We both built this new home with the idea of sharing it –

With family and friends.

We – Sherry and I –

Balance each other out!

Our home is one of positivity –

We love company –

This is who we are!

For decades and decades,

We have had a close network of friends!

Our friends span –

All the way back to grade school!

Grandkids- Family –

Brings an equal balance to lives!

We practice eating healthy in our senior years.

One thing we both notice –

Is that we eat less than we used to!

A diet of just fruits, vegetables,

And berries are hard to maintain.

So, twenty years ago,

We found this supplement through research!

Today, it is our supplement of choice.

Today, I am still registered as an Independent.

I am proud of that.

I make my own choices regardless of party!

I do not –

Watch cable or network news!

I read, I research,

And I make my own decisions based on that.

I find COMMON SENSE –

It is one of my great tools.

My wife said to me, “You need to BLOG. You write all these stories –

and events on Facebook, and then it just disappears into the Cloud!”

“You have such a memory on what – where – who and when –

you need to put it down where you can store and conserve it!” said Sherry!

So with the help of a friend- Belinda – we met at the Brambleton Library in Va.

Spending over an hour –

she got me started on my own site –

in WordPress!

That was over six years ago.

Today – here I am –

over 1500 blogs posted –

140 more are scheduled to go as of this writing.

Family History –

and our life together these past 43-plus years!

I actually have very little of my family history –

except what was told to me –

and I remember.

Very few pictures –

No letters-

Just lots of memories –

and some pictures people have found and sent to me.

And – I am just about the only one left in my family I grew up with-

One niece who lives in the same house she grew up in

and a great-niece who lives in the house I grew up in.

This home has now been in my family for over 80 years!

I have another great-niece in Portville, N.Y. –

and My two sons –

still live in the area I grew up in.

Two grandsons from my youngest son –

have moved out of the area.

Blogging into the new year –

I try not to do politics-

rather focussing on Good Vibes- Humor – Laughs and Family – Friends –

Places – Events – Music- Neighbors – Beach and Where we live in the South.

I have over 650 subscribers –

I only know a half dozen of them.

The rest are from all over the World.

that is unbelievable –

as I never thought that would happen.

I post my blogs after midnight –

And I can see where in the World –

people are seeing my blogs.

Each time I open my site and look at the STATS –

EIGHT to TEN COUNTRIES across the World have already read my blogs!

That astounds me.

Thank you to my wife Sherry –

who inspired me to write my thoughts down.

To preserve it for future generations –

in our families to come.

Papa’s World – The question is WHY?

It seems that every other post on face book –

is blatantly false!

I am talking about the political posts!

And – really – absurd!

Now – this is not a blog on whom to elect –

but the irritation I seem to have with all this nonsense.

To the point I have to UNFOLLOW a lot of people!

Just for me not to see baseless untrue posts.

There – that makes me feel a lot better!

I always fact check – before I believe anything.

Am I a doubting Thomas!

Maybe – but I seek the truth – I want to know about things!

I love historical facts – stories – and discoveries.

I have habits – everyday routine.

I suppose I could leave my comfort zone and venture out

Instead of my first cup of coffee early –

Maybe a shake – a healthful one!

But I just can not bring myself to do that!

I wonder if that is why people post those things?

I look at things from every direction –

to find meaning –

Maybe I am HOT! LOL

There just may be some truth in this! LOL

But – I do not believe it!

I could get into a lot of trouble over it! LOL

SMILE – LAUGH – FEEL GOOD!

Be helpful – caring –

it cost you nothing but gains you gratitude.

There – I feel better –

I have some criteria that I follow when posting on Facebook.

We are constantly bombarded by WHAT IS WRONG on the media today.

Negative vibes – where are the good things to be written about?

So – I decided a long time ago – I would share smiles –

Good thoughts – Family – Friends and day to day happenings.

Also a way to document my life –

To put it all down in journal type writings.

I try to stay away from politics – as I have friends from all sides.

Sometimes that is very hard to accomplish

But – I try –

You see – my life is in the later stages

I want the kids to read this after I am gone

I want them to know who I am

what I did and how I feel.

I hope I conveyed these thoughts through my blogs

I am happy with my life

And today I hope I brought us a little bit closer

SMILE – LAUGH – GOOD THOUGHTS –

You are only here a short time in the scope of all things.
