Papa’s World – Staying positive and Indepenent!

June 25th. 1982 – The day we were married and combined two sets of children into our FAMILY!

During my early adult years –

I really did not have much thought on politics!

My mother and father –

Or siblings or relatives,

Just did not talk about it!

Having married at such a young age –

Because I thought it was the right thing to do –

As we were going to have a baby!

My biggest concern back then was to find a job,

And provide for a family!

Politics was not part of my life,

So I registered as an INDEPENDENT!

To this day –

I could not tell you what any of my friends in high school-

Believed in!

We-

Just did not talk about it!

I have always been middle of the road.

There are things I strongly believe in that are right and left!

I find myself wanting the truth –

So I fact-check.

I just do not trust talking heads!

I look for truth and common sense.

PARTY means nothing to me.

I have always had a positive outlook on life.

I live life one day at a time.

I believe in God, Family, friends,

And helping when I can.

We both built this new home with the idea of sharing it –

With family and friends.

We – Sherry and I –

Balance each other out!

Our home is one of positivity –

We love company –

This is who we are!

For decades and decades,

We have had a close network of friends!

Our friends span –

All the way back to grade school!

Grandkids- Family –

Brings an equal balance to lives!

We practice eating healthy in our senior years.

One thing we both notice –

Is that we eat less than we used to!

A diet of just fruits, vegetables,

And berries are hard to maintain.

So, twenty years ago,

We found this supplement through research!

Today, it is our supplement of choice.

Today, I am still registered as an Independent.

I am proud of that.

I make my own choices regardless of party!

I do not –

Watch cable or network news!

I read, I research,

And I make my own decisions based on that.

I find COMMON SENSE –

It is one of my great tools.

Papa’s World – What shall I do?

Living life to the plus – not being political – but observing fundamental lapses of common sense all around me!

We have both believed in grace – love and forgiveness.

We have different leanings on a political scale yet we listen and see other points of view.

Recently – she posted to what I saw as common sense – a “CUTTING” of what some people call “ENTITLEMENTS”!

A few people choose to discredit this post as not being the “TRUTH”!

My answer is that for 48 1/2 years – I worked and paid for those benefits.

Those were and are a lifeline to exist after retirement.

During that time of my work life – the “COMPANY” also paid into the “ENTITLEMENT” and was considered part of my “BENEFITS” package.

I “EARNED” that “BENEFIT” after many years of toiling in the work field.

The POLITICIANS who want to end this “ENTITLEMENT” as far as I can describe –

are wealthy and more than likely never to claim this “ENTITLEMENT” –

yet to the vast majority of seniors living out their lives to the plus – it is a survivor reality.

Without it – we could not live to any old age – and most likely depend on children.

Now – to get back to the “TRUTH”!

I researched what was said – via the written word and what was said on the tape.

The key word of that sentence was the word”AND” –

The sentence is taken word for word.

“THERE IS A LOT YOU CAN DO IN TERMS OF CUTTING “AND” ALSO THE THEFT AND THE BAD MANAGEMENT OF ENTITLEMENT – THERE ARE TREMENDOUS AMOUNT OF THINGS AND NUMBERS OF THINGS YOU CAN DO!”

The question asked?

ASKED – “WHETHER HE HAD CHANGED HIS OUTLOOK ON HOW TO HANDLE ENTITLEMENT PROGRAMS LIKE SOCIAL SECURITY – MEDICARE – MEDICAID IN ORDER TO TACKLE THE NATIONAL DEBT”?

Now – a few people commented on her posting – saying you need to quit watching CNN and all how they twist the words!

These words are not twisted – exactly what was said.

I have no POLITICAL AGENDA – I HAVE NO PARTY – I BELIEVE IN LAW AND ORDER –

I BELIEVE IN THE CONSTITUTION AND THE DEMOCRATIC ARTICLES AND LAWS OF THE LAND!

Also, one person began to berate her about the evil crime family – money – etc.

Challenging her to debate offline – or espousing the far-right Maga rhetoric of looney tunes!

When I presented the WORD FOR WORD – and you can read it above – there was a sense that

we – as SENIORS – are being targeted for our “ENTITLEMENTS” – even all our working lives we

“PAID” our own money and that of the people we worked for – into these programs.

Being a “SENIOR” looking down the road not knowing how we shall survive after one of us is gone?

So in concluding this blog – “WHAT SHALL I DO”?

I WILL EXERCISE MY VOTE – as an INDEPENDENT – NOT FOR “PARTY” BUT WHAT IS COMMON SENSE-

And for those who criticized her for posting the truth –

well – as far as I can determine –

you are what you are – my belief is in the poster from above-

Living life to the plus – “ONE LOVE – CHANGE THE WORLD” one VOTE at a time!

Papa’s World – Living one day at a time!

My life since my heart attack has for the most part – been one day at a time.

I have found that each day is a day that most likely I should not be here.

It was that serious and I have a lot to be thankful for!

When that happened – I saw that you just do not know from day to day – so I live each day as my last.

I am grateful – thankful and my thoughts are different now than before. Funny how I see things – remember things – and live.

I have always thought this way – I believe in equality – rights for women and a strong military – fair pay – the Constitution of the USA.

Voting – the freedom to work and make a living – fair taxes -our form of justice and the courts. Law and order. DEMOCRACY!

The free enterprise system – the right to own a gun but restrictions on rapid-fire assault weapons.

I guess I am a mixture and am an Independent – Moderate to be exact.

For me each party has its pluses and minus – I will not be told to “Follow Party Lines” – Independent is what I follow.

I do not believe in riots – but to have peaceful protests – and the results of elections I will follow.

Voting is my right and how I will attempt to make changes.

I will not follow the CRAZIES nor worship the IDOLS.

We have the greatest country in the world – and must preserve it in light – not darkness.

I am selective on information and not TALKING HEADS.

The information is out there – you have to fact-check it.

Watching the sunset and sunrise each day – I am a morning person – and sleepy by 8 or 9.

Yes – I live life one day at a time and life to the plus each day. I read history – I love new discoveries of ancient cultures.

I think there is life beyond us – I have seen things I can not explain –

Every day I want to golf – be out in the open among nature.

Time is not on my side – time is to me to be enjoyed as it happens – learn from it and be at peace with myself.

This is me LIVING LIFE ONE DAY AT A TIME!
