Papa’s World – More memorable times in pictures.

We were all friends back in NVA-

We were the first to move to N.C.

Then Jim and Claudia and Jason, and Ginger bought lots-

And had their homes built.

Jim and Claudia are about four miles away-

Ginger and Jason live just outside Leland, near Buck and Cindy.

We often get together, and this time was at Barefoot Landing –

At The Big Chill restaurant.

Becoming a memorable time in a picture!

Sherry and Cindy-

Back in the late 80s and mid 90s –

We were neighbors in WNY.

They moved to Leland, and we would visit.

We have traveled the world with them!

Buck and I are on the golf course.

We almost always play a scramble with the girls.

Neighbors from a long time ago –

Today we live about 35 miles from them.

We have traveled the World with them –

Most recently –

To Florida, where we met up –

Shared an AIRBNB –

And went to Epcot together.

Becoming memorable times in pictures!

Before we moved to N.C.-

We often went to D.C.

Here we are at the National Harbor-

With Tammy and Taylor, Cassidy and Bode.

Many memories of fun family times.

Humor and laughs keep me coming back for more golf – LOL!

If the ball goes into the water – “LEAVE IT”!

Also, snakes – I am always careful in looking for my golf ball!

We would spend the winter with him at his house near Lake Sumter Landing.

He is now gone, but forever remembered by me.

Papa’s World – Around Lake Tahoe – continued

Good morning

As we drive – the scenery continues to amaze me –

I have never seen anything like this.

People are everywhere

Over one Million people visit this area each year –

and believe it or not –

there is six months of skiing here !

Beautiful sand beaches

Average snow fall – 420 inches !

Average water temperature –

low of 42 – high of 64 – too cold for me !

As we continued around Lake Tahoe –

a cluster of really tall buildings came into sight –

unusual as we had seen nothing but two or three story buildings !

The Edgewood

We turned in at the main intersection –

These were hotels and casino’s !

And a golf course –

We had unbeknownst arrived at EDGEWOOD –

A course home to a PGA event seen by us numerous times on TV.

Where they sponsor a PRO – AM in addition to the tournament.

We decided to have lunch –

and what a experience we did not anticipate !

Everywhere we looked from the dinning room –

a view of the course and of the lake.

After we dined – we took in the resort –

walking the grounds –

and I would say you could putt a golf ball anywhere on the expanse of lawn

Ready to leave

A pleasant surprise – a fine lunch – a chance to mingle –

However – a great deal of money to play !

Yes – we could of played a twi-light round –

Not this time !

One last glimpse from the car –

just another adventure completed –

and we get to cross off a item we had not had on our bucket list-

EDGEWOOD GOLF AND RESORT CLUB –

Home to the PGA !
