Belief , Faith and Positivity – REACH FOR THE STARS.

2014-10-24 08.30.09             What to look for in a home based business.

Many times when you attempt a HOME BUSINESS , the biggest obstacle can sometimes be ones self! You just have to get out of your own way !   Ask yourself not WHY ?  But HOW you can accomplish what needs to be done.

During my years I have learned that success for me has come in the form of three principles that I follow.

BELIEF :   Believe in what you are doing – follow your heart – ones belief is a potent force when you apply it to your convictions. Stay the course – remember – in order to succeed – take care of all the small things and the larger problem will most likely take care of itself.

FAITH :  Listen – observe – and then have the FAITH to act. Plan – ask questions – and then formulate a plan of action – list your goals and have the FAITH to act on them. If you have FAITH in yourself and those around you – you are on your way !

POSITIVITY  :  I was asked once to give my impression on the HALF FULL vs.  HALF EMPTY GLASS .  To me , it is neither HALF FULL or HALF EMPTY !  There are two ingredients that are involved here.  AIR  &  LIQUID.  Without one or the other , you can not survive as far as I know!  The Glass has both – both essential to you and your team !  Positivity is something I wake up with every day. I always look at whatever is positive in the situation and act on it !

In a home based business – and with a TEAM – what comes out of you goes into them !  LEAD FOR SUCCSS !

I hope this little bit goes a long way in helping you overcome the fear of leadership – look at your team and then look in the mirror. Your team will be reflected back to you !

If you are interested – then go to  http://www.sf.juiceplus.com or drop me a email at fitztdf@aol.com.

The first is my wife’s web site and you can navigate – just look for the business – product and research.

If you contact me – we can send information – my wife retired with this business.

Go forth and have a great day !

Papa’s World – she picked her choice from two – Ella is playing College Soccer!

Ella – back when I called her ‘TINY” – a nickname her father to this day still calls her!

When she was small – she would follow me around –

when there was company she was not sure about –

she would hold my pant leg or climb up into my lap.

OH – TO HAVE THOSE DAYS ONCE AGAIN!

She has the kindest heart – always doing things you ask of her with no complaint.

Our only grand son – Bode – adores her – hanging onto her as she did to me.

She has had a trying past four or five years –

Twice braking a bone in her feet

so that she was in casts and crutches so she could not play soccer.

Missing valuable time – but when she did

she proved she belonged out there!

She caught the coaches eyes when she played – and when healthy – she was voted MVP of her JV team – alongside of her sister – who was voted MVP of her varsity team!

Today – she has sprouted up – four inches taller than her big sister

who is in her second year of college soccer at University of Lynchburg.

Ella and Maddy – loved these two little ones.

With all the adversity of her broken bones in her feet

and this past year – her senior year – because of the Pandemic

her soccer season was postponed to be played in the Spring

if they can!

The whole World has changed – but for Ella – she had choices.

Two of them – where to go to college and which coach to play for!

Not a easy choice for a 17 year old!

Taking classes on line – working her job and not playing H.S. soccer

although she did play travel team this past fall.

Ella – when she is able to play – shows great speed and control

Those two teams and coaches recruited her

attending her games when she played

It would be a hard choice to make!

Sisters – Ella will be attending Randolph College – playing against Maddy at the University of Lynchburg with youngest sister Sarah – only 14 years old!

She now is almost 5′ 9″ tall – TINY has grown up!

Papa’s World – Living with kids before we left – vagabonds – traveling!

Here we are – in our early ’70’s – homeless – living with daughters –

until we pack up and head South

to North Myrtle Beach S.C.

First thing we do as vagabonds – is play some golf!

We made it a point – have fun – play golf – and enjoy the warm weather while we can!

Here we played one of our favorite courses in NVA!

Deer are everywhere – and are so tame – even when you hit toward them

they do not move!

You have to be pretty good to hit them and we are not good! LOL

Our view from youngest daughter and husbands home!

We would have almost three months to wait before we left –

pack up and go –

to a place we had never been and found by accident

OCEAN KEYES – North Myrtle Beach

every day a 1/2 mile walk to the sand and water of the beach.

First – we had to downsize – made dozen of trips to the Salvation Army – sold almost 95% of our household furniture with the house ! And got ourselves a storage unit – one big enough to walk in and through all our “STUFF”!

I thought I would MISS STUFF but I don’t!

I have moved on – just as we were about to do!

But first saying our goodbyes – these are what I will miss – FAMILY!

You never get use to that – WHEN YOU THROW IT AWAY – REMEMBER THERE IS NO AWAY!

That is why we are back home for the Christmas time – for three weeks!

And we will come back again in late Feb. and early March.

They will come down to visit –

And our life will go on!

We will walk once again with them – we will share laughs – and in Jan. hope will bring them to us!
We will meet up once again with old friends – laughing – exploring –
And true to form – PRACTICE SOCIAL DISTANCING! LOL!
ICE CREAM and a SMILE!
This one texts or calls everyday her MORMOR & PAPA!

FAMILY – fun times and memories made –

FUN TIMES and memories to be made!

NEW ADVENTURES AWAIT FOR THESE TWO – as we a\have traveled the World together and now they live only 40 miles from us!

Our friends of many years – Buck and Cindy – have lived down in N.C. for years

and now – we golf every week together.

Family is back home – friends are here!

Yes – the Sun set of a family home – the night before we left – rain shower cleaning the roadway – vagabonds!

We are blessed to have these places to stay –

and now – we have begun our new home build

and once again – it will become a FAMILY HOME!

Once again in the South – we will be together – family – as always – you never throw that away!

Papa’s World – A brand new car – after SEVEN YEARS!

2020 Rav4 XLE Hybrid

We bought our last car in 2013 –

and in seven years – 126,000 miles!

Yes – we do travel the roads –

and the main thing we wanted –

was gas mileage!

Our Prius V 3 wagon – Toyota – got 40 to 44 MPG!

WE LOVE TO GOLF

That car had exceptional room when you put the seats down.

And we knew when we move to South Carolina for five months

along with everything we must take – the clubs also were going!

Roof rack and basket carrier

We could do it – but it would be packed to the ceiling

and we would not be able to see out the back!

This one – we wanted the Roof rack –

and then we went and bought a basket carrier and installed it!

We also ordered a soft side roof top carrier!

Our old car had no roof racks!

Sherry does everything on her phone!

So now – we are in the learning process as this car does everything

and then some through your smart phone!

But – one thing we found out is that Sherry must have her phone

when we travel for her internet business

and it must be free to do this – so we plug in my phone

as I really do not like phones and mostly take pictures with mine! LOL

That way when we google maps – there is no interference

As we are driving and getting directions!

YES – I HAVE TO HAVE DIRECTIONS!

Or I will get lost!

This car also has a ton of safety features – which Sherry loves!

All pertain to driving – blind side – auto lights –

cruise control radar ( it can almost steer itself)

It will detect a car in front and behind you.

A wide vision when backing up with guide lines!

PLUS IT REALLY LOOKS SLEEK!

There are many – many more extras

and some we are just learning how to use!

The main thing is gas mileage – and this one has it!

Right now we are averaging 42 to 44 MPG!

And – even though I have not used it – POWER!

IT IS A HYBRID WITH POWER!

It has three different modes –

One is ECO – going back and forth from gas to battery!

Two is power – Gas only with a three speed manual transmission.

Three is battery – battery only – you can travel about 1 1/2 miles.

And it is fast going zero to sixty – if you want to.

Our Prius V wagon 3 served us well for seven years.

Now we have a road trip vehicle with storage on the roof

and storage – a little more room inside

and capable of good gas mileage!

Papa’s World – Grateful – Living – New Memories

Thinking back to THAT day –

And now – the MEMORIES

I have gathered for the past almost six years –

I AM GRATEFUL !

GOOD MORNING WEDNESDAY

Everyday – I wake up – I look around – ” WHAT IF ” ?

When you go through something that changes your life –

Knowing that it could of gone the other way

You tend to view life a little bit different !

RESET YOURSELF

That is when I realized that I wanted to be different !

Given another chance at life –

I wanted to leave SOMETHING !

I wanted to recharge my inner self!

I WANTED TO WRITE !

I CHANGED

Writing had to mean something !

So – I formed SOMETHING !

I put in place THREE RULES !

RULE NUMBER ONE : Make people smile !

SMILE – YOU ARE ON THE THRONE

RULE NUMBER TWO : MAKE PEOPLE FEEL GOOD !

DO GOOD !!

RULE NUMBER THREE : NO POLITICS !!!!

TAKE THE HIGH ROAD

Oh – I could write multitudes each and every day –

BUT I CHOOSE NOT TO !

Those are my criteria – my three rules –

And along with that –

To write about my life – each day as it unfolds !

Family

To write about FAMILY – to leave a bit of history for future generations !

To record events –

A BOOK to look back on years from now !

FRIENDS

To share our adventures that we do with FRIENDS –

We have traveled the World –

New York State & Pa.

Va. and N.C. – Florida –

SPAIN – MORROCO – GILBRALTER – CANADA – NEW ENGLAND – OAHU !

And now in six weeks –

a tour of Northern Cailf. !

Wine Country – Reno – Lake Tahoe –

Red Woods -San Francisco -Napa Valley

Yosemite – and more !

Being grateful – living – memories –

It happens when something major happens to your life.

THREE RULES – MEMORIES – NO PRE THOUGHTS – JUST WRITE !

Thank you for reading Papa’s World –

Thank you for reading and welcome to PAPA’S WORLD

Papa’s World – Friends – The Library – Beer and Fireball Shots – Keeping in touch

On our recent get together – a beer tasting in a old house with a fake library !

Try as hard as we can – life gets busy – but for over 35 years – we have stayed in touch – getting together at each others houses – every 4 or 5 months.

We are now spread out – Wilmington N.C. – Va. Beach and D.C. area – but we remain good friends.

Last Fall – our golf outing in Va. Beach – guys vs. gals.

Last Fall – we all got together – to play golf on several courses in the Va. Beach area. The format was GUYS VS. GALS – and I advocated ” NO STROKES ” as some of us have done this before and ” THE GALS” are just too darn good to give up STROKES !

Well – I was right – they had a STROKE a hole and they kicked our butts ! Even without the STROKES it was almost even ! Now we all are not PAR golfers – they ended up minus par with the strokes – and we were a little over par – but the jest of the whole thing was we had fun ! Plus I think they were nipping the FIREBALL more often than not !!!!! LOL

This was taken in Oahu – when the four of us went and played golf.

My wife Sherry – has the perfect form and swing – always straight down the middle of the fairway – can not remember the last time we had to look for her ball. Cindy – hits it a ton – going out into the fairway – neither one gets into trouble – the guys – not so much – never know WHERE my ball will go ! That is what makes them so good – straight and usually on the green or close on the second shot – depending how long the hole is.

Yep – that is me on Oahu – the valley over from where they shot Jurassic Park.

We try to play golf where ever we go – but – we also do Karaoke – well – I try to – but that is the only time I sing ! Cindy has her own Karaoke machine and all the songs – she brings it to most get together’s. Our theme songs are Desperado and Friends in low places. We get pretty involved in New York – New York. I have video’s but I promised I would not share them !

On our golf outing back home in NWPA – Sherry and Cindy .

Now I am not much of a Wine drinker nor much of a hard drinker – I stick mainly to light beer – and only on special occasions. However – I will take a nip of Fireball and as sometimes – well a lot of times when we golf together – I will join the others on birdies and sometimes long pars – with a little toast of the fireball. All in all – we do have a lot of fun.

Keeping in touch – friends – beer and fireball – living our lives to the plus.

Hope you enjoyed – keep the good health up – and keep in touch with friends
