Runs through the doctor’s offices!

Appointments on the calendar –

GP – Dentist – Cardio – Chriopactor – Vascular- Internal –

The list is here –

As a senior in age –

All of the above can and do have an effect on our lives.

Preventive is a keyword as a senior.

Eating healthy – walking – moving around –

All are keys to aging as healthily as one can.

Testing all year long –

Being proactive!

It is a way of life as you hit your senior years.

The protection from the sun –

Hats – sunscreen – shade while sitting on the beach.

Wearing long sleeves –

Sunglasses –

All are part of our lives as seniors.

Making short walks on the beach in the wintertime.

Dress warm and get outside.

Neighborhood gathers for the annual TURKEY TROT WALK every Thanksgiving!

A positive outlook on life-

Helping others and volunteering help into and through your senior years!

Friendships – gatherings –

People you share interests with!

FRIENDS!

Along with those appointments –

Papa’s World – A visit by the Jones – family time and exploring!

Kristie – Maya – Olivia – Casey Jones – Sherry’s niece and family from N.C.

We had visitors for the weekend – from N.C. around three hours away.

Daughter and family of Sherry’s sister.

Sisters Olivia and Maya

The little ones were so excited – to finally be able to go somewhere

all due to the pandemic.

We tested – they rested and everything was good.

We only had one full day to explore – so we took them to Vareen Memorial Garden.

To hike and gather shells.

We also hit the beach for a short walk but it was windy and cold.

Searching for shells along the ICW – they even felt the water! LOL

We spend time with family and friends – here are our oldest friends.

This is a stressful time this COVID!

But – we practice social distancing and quarantine – and test!

We make plans and also are sure of the above.

2020 brings a lot of smiles also.

Buck Cindy Dottie – speak no evil – see no evil and hear no evil!

Being with friends is special – you laugh – you talk – and you share sorrows.

Family is important to us all.

You SEE on Zooms –

You TALK on phones

You HEAR on both

You connect whenever you can and try to make plans.

Sometimes – COVID interferes

But you move on – test and return.

You greet each day with renewed hope that this will pass on – only to find it won’t!

2020 – well – you make the most of it when you can!

You watch a little bit of the BUFFALO BILLS!

We all are from BILLS territory

we all were there for the run of FOUR SUPER BOWLS in a row!

And now – as we all moved South –

We once again are watching them!

Keeps us in touch!
We now are playing Pickle Ball and Golf and card games!

We try to play as much golf as we can now that we are in the South!

Our friends – Buck and Cindy are 45 miles away

so we can meet up halfway and play!

Papa’s World – COVID TEST – before we go back home! NEGATIVE!

Social distance – being careful – getting ready to go home for Christmas – keeping the faith we are doing this right!

We have been walking – staying away from groups of people –

social distancing – knowing that we wanted to spend Christmas with the family!

We went on line – Sherry is the tech one –

and through CVS – set up our information –

scheduling a test time!

It was not that hard – and the CVS was maybe 3 miles away!

We drove to the CVS test site – we were the only ones their at our scheduled time!

We pulled up to the window much as you would for a bank –

The lady spoke through the window and asked for our insurance – medicare and ID.

We passed them through and she typed in all the information

and in the window drawer – she gave us back each a brown paper bag

with our cards inside plus the material we needed to swab our own nose!

In case we did not understand the written instructions and pictures on what to do –

She explained step by step as we went through the procedure!

It was not difficult at all and we did our own samples.

Just put the swab up as far as you can go and rotate for fifthteen seconds

as she counts off in each nostril!

No fuss – no mess – easy – a cave man could do it!

After we were done – the swab went into a sealed vial with liquid it it.

And put back into a sealed plastic bag with our information in there.

I then got out and deposited the two bags into a medical box –

wiped down the box with a sanitizing wipe they provided and drove off!

It was that easy and covered by our insurance.

We were each provided with our own personal site – to see the results!

Our tests came back in just two days and were on our own personal web address!

This was a relief as now we could journey home –

see our family for the holidays

knowing that we were Covid19 free!
