Papa’s World – Some humor and looking to the past!

Today – she has graduated from college-

A degree in Environmental Science-

Working for a large Environmental nationwide firm.

She has her own apartment –

But I still remember the little girl –

On her tricycle – with her “PIGGY” in the basket.

Maddy has grown up –

But this little girl will remain with me for the rest of my life!

A little humor to start your day!

Now if it were craft BEER –

I would be into it! LOL

When we moved South in 2020 –

During the COVID-19 pandemic-

We stayed in North Myrtle Beach at Ocean Keyes-

The beach was a half-mile walk from our condo!

We loved it here, but could not find a place to live that met our lifestyle!

NINE MONTHS was the period of time we lived here.

Fantastic memories,

And we still travel the sixteen miles back to visit!

CHERISHED MEMORIES!

My oldest son, Troy.

He still lives back where he grew up in Pa.

Looking forward to his next visit!

Shawn and Trisha – husband and wife.

They own their own businesses.

Auditing energy costs for state and major power companies.

That is one side of the company.

The other side is insulation for the elderly, for state funding!

He secures yearly contracts from the state of Pennsylvania-

And major energy and power companies for the state.

They travel a good portion of the WPA-

North to South.

Today, December 14, 2025, is his birthday!

They still live in Pa., close to where he was raised.

He is a big Dallas Cowboys fan!

He is also a ranked pool player in 8 and 9 ball!

This past year –

The team he plays with-

In Las Vegas,

Competed against teams from all over the world-

And came home as World Champions!

He is kind, thoughtful, and ready to help out!

He doesn’t drink or smoke.

He puts his heart and soul into his business and his marriage.

Good advice!

Celebrating our 75th. birthdays.

Twenty-plus years ago –

We found a supplement at NBC for your Health-

At the Convention Center in Washington, D.C.

It stated what it was proven to do-

Backed by 40 published research papers in Journals.

We decided to take this as a way –

To age as healthily –

As we could in our senior years.

In all those years –

We have never missed a day.

Papa’s World – He can build a house from the ground up – my son TROY!

My father was this way – he could and did build anything!

He set up Tripods and pulled engines from cars.

He tore the roof and rafters off the big red barn –

And installed a lower roof by himself.

He renovated and built the house I was raised in.

All this did not pass on to me-

It skipped a generation and fell to my oldest son TROY!

The patience required ( I have none)

When he was small – he would always take things apart and put them back together!

He got the love of the outdoors – fishing – and hunting from my father.

While Troy has no children of his own – during the years –

he has other boys and girls who look up to him as a father figure!

Even walking one down the aisle at her marriage.

He is kind – gentle and giving and helping others.

I rode the motorcycle back in the mid-70s –

He also rides –

though not as often as he did.

Anything Pittsburg sports –

he is a big fan of it.

Today – he has a partner – Andrea –

And I hope they can come back down this summer or whenever they choose.

Just outside the little town of Eldred – Where we both grew up!

We are proud of this son who grew into this man.

Papa’s World – My sons – Troy and Shawn!

From my first marriage – my sons – Troy and Shawn.

They still live in the area they were born in – NWPA near the border of WNY –

Some 70 miles South of Buffalo.

Troy – the oldest – can build a house from the ground up – everything needed to open the door!

Turn on the lights –

He gets all this from my father – who could do the same thing!

My dad could lift out an engine in a car and replace it!

Andrea – Troy and Sherry on the pier!

He is going to try to make it down next summer!

Trisha and Shawn – my youngest son – who owns his own Insulation and Auditing business.

His contracts with power companies and state resources keep him busy 24/7 –

all year long!

He also is a ranked pool player in the USA and Canada!

They made it down last summer and hope to return next summer!

Very proud of both boys and hope they make it back next summer.

My son and his wife –

visited us at the end of September –

and we went to Conway, S.C.

Known as the HALLOWEEN CITY OF THE USA!

Orange pumpkins hang it seems from every tree on the streets!

The trunks and branches-

are wrapped with white Christmas lights –

going high and branching out throughout the long Oak branches!

Spooky tall Oak trees –

with long arm-like branches are everywhere!

It must take a long time to decorate the entire town this way!

The slow drizzle of rain-

enhanced the theme of Halloween!

Shawn high-fives a skeleton –

sitting on a bench on the main street!

Trisha and Sherry at the table –

where we had a late lunch –

The day was filled with raindrops but warm –

as we wandered the streets –

and met the Halloween Giants!

Papa and Sherry standing by one of the tall dressed skeletons!

It was every alleyway you ventured into –

you were greeted with very tall automated figures!

All the storefront windows were displayed.

Papa’s World – A big shout out – HAPPY BIRTHDAY TROY!

Today I say to my oldest son – HAPPY BIRTHDAY my son –

I remember holding your hand –

walking up the main street of Eldred –

to your grandma and grandpa’s house.

The little blond-haired boy –

who loved both of them.

So many memories of those early years –

I wished for one day-

we could have them back

Today – we celebrate the little boy –

who has turned into a man –

Who can and does build anything –

ground up-

and finishing it off!

You did not get that from me-

but from my father – your grandfather –

Who could and did the same as you.

That house we would walk up to –

He built that!

The motorcycle you have and used to ride –

Well – you got that from me –

as I rode in the 70’s!

The beard is yours –

I couldn’t grow one! LOL

Today – is all yours –

another one in the books.

I am so proud of the man you have become –

Kind – Caring and loving –

the biggest heart –

Celebrate my son –

Although we are not together to help you celebrate –

know that my thoughts are with you.
