LOL – INSTRUCTIONS – What are those?

My two sons-in-law – Marcus, Mike, and me!

Going to the beach when the grandkids were younger –

Mostly to the Outer Banks.

Beach time included multiple umbrellas and chairs –

Coolers and plenty of sunscreen.

Back then –

I normally went into the Surf and waves.

Today, I am a walker who gets my ankles wet, but that is it!

Maddy and Papa –

Standing in the surf before going farther out!

Those days for me are long past!

August of 2024 when Sherry and I turned 75!

We had a family “BEACH VACATION” on Ocean Isle Beach!

The FAMILY during that vacation.

Sherry and I have always leaned toward beach life.

Today – whenever we like –

We drive ten or so minutes and are on the beach.

But – getting back to the “WHY,” I only walk the surf today!

Go back to the picture of Maddy and me –

Waiting for the wave to break around us!

And this is the moment to hit us!

That was the day PAPA learned he was no longer young –

That Maddy ducked the wave-

And PAPA didn’t!

I HAVE LEARNED – STAY IN THE SHADE UNDER AN UMBRELLA –

LEAVE THE WAVES TO THOSE MUCH YOUNGER-

It is much safer for me to walk the beach and pick up trash! LOL
