LOL – yeah – that’s right!

Beach life – sand and surf –

We dreamed about this, but thought we never could be here!

But – life happens, and we found ourselves in a situation because of the Pandemic.

We lost so much money in the downturn of the 401K in our retirement fund.

BUT – all of a sudden, the housing market exploded!

SELL!!!

That is what we did.

Brambleton in Loudoun County, Va., is very expensive to live in.

TAXES – Housing- cost of living –

All contributed to our thinking of cashing in and moving South!

It was hard – we would be leaving grandkids, family, and friends.

Florida was too hot – we wanted out of the cold, snow, and ice.

We were advancing in our senior years, and I did not want to take care of the lawn outside anymore.

The border of N.C. and S.C. looked interesting.

We had friends in the Wilmington, N.C., area.

NORTH MYRTLE BEACH! We found a condo to lease – month to month!

TIME – it would take time to look and find a house.

Everything we looked at needed work to update.

We increased the budget – and found that building new was the best choice.

We found Cameron Woods Community, thirty minutes from North Myrtle Beach in N.C.

We were still within a 7-to 8-hour drive to family back in Va.

We pulled the trigger and for nine months lived in the condo.

We selected everything we could for the new build.

And still came out cheaper than buying used.

Our new build at Christmas time, a year after we moved in!

And if we wanted to drive early to the beach – SUNRISE on OIB!

We never dreamed we could do this!

Life has a way of making dreams come true!

Losing part of our retirement but gaining equity in the housing market proved beneficial for us.

Today, we live in the South!

We are aging SENIORS!

But – we are where we want to be.
