Each day – I try to be positive

My blogs each day are for the most part a POSITIVE in a very Negative news day !

My criteria – follows three rules of thought for me.

One – share a smile ! Two – share a good feeling ! Three – be POSITIVE !

NORMAL ?

I could be a bit normal – but – I guess I am not – however – I see normal !

I see stories – I ask questions – I write them down – I memorize them.

My MOTTO

I live each day as it will be my last –

I plan ahead – I organize – I DREAM !

I call it ” LIVING LIFE TO THE PLUS ” one day at a time !

I think this fits today’s World

I could write on POLITICS each and every day –

endless – but I choose not to.

Instead – I look for gratitude –

I see rights and wrongs

I yearn for peace

And I look upward for guidance

I hope this explains my reasons for blogging –

my innermost thoughts.

Blogging is a way of reaching out –

extending thoughts and pleasant ideas.

To make a difference for one day in your life –

to be happy .

Sit back – grab a drink –

mine is coffee –

and just enjoy a moment to feel good before your day starts.

Then at the end of the day –

be reminded –

that in this blog – there is peace.

Papa’s World – Taxes are being done – my job is making dinner – eating healthy – yes my lady.

Today – I am making dinner while my wife does our taxes – I have the easy part!

Eating healthy has become a way of life for us going on almost 16 years!

In that time I have learned how to BAKE rather than fry!

I have learned low carbs – no gluten – low sugars – and GMO’s.

I have learned to lead by example – children watch and copy!

My life is far different than all those years gone by.

I WATCH WHAT I EAT!

The dinner I made – baked salmon – greens – one sliced egg – veggies – a little fruit and no dressing!

I have learned over these past 15 plus years.

I take it very seriously!

Well – you must also smile! Great for your mental health!

Living each day – I have to stay away from sugars as I am borderline diabetic.

I watch carbs more so that calories – carbs put the weight on me and turn to sugars.

We grow our own produce with no pesticides – knowing exactly what we are eating.
We make healthy meals and deserts out of fruits – veggies and berries.

We purchase from this company what we eat for health reasons.

Have been doing this for almost 16 years!

And – the taste – for me – is excellent.

Life is hard – food – not healthy food – is everywhere!

Commercial after commercial – radio or TV – is constant.

Billboards – advertisements – packaging!

Everywhere you look or hear is processed food.

Berries (purple) omega’s (orange) fruits (red) Veggies ( green) are my medicine cabinet.
Concentrated whole food – powdered – nutrient dense – encapsulated every day!
Yes – I baked dinner – I use no salt – no dressing – I do use onion flakes – pepper and a low sodium seasoning.

And when not doing our taxes – she makes healthy treats!

A shake a day seems to keep my doctor away!

Our lives changed almost 16 years ago – she became a CERTIFIED HEALTH COACH –

through the known children’s doctor – Dr. William Sears – author of 40 children’s books.

Health has become our lives.

Making healthy choices one day at a time.

Instead of candy and sweets – I chew on these – Gummy’s – fruit – vegetable and berries. Satisfies my urge to eat sweets!

TEAM GENERATIONS: Helping one child a day to eat healthy with fruits – veggies and berries.

Papa’s World – eating healthy is not the only thing – flowers

We walk – we eat healthy – but the mental part is also important !

Our roses out front

A healthy body also has to have a healthy mind – at least mine does !

So – when we moved into our house thirteen years ago –

I started digging up – replanting – moving – shrubs – putting in trees

( 3 Crepe Myrtles ) and numerous rose bushes – flowers that came back year after year.

I had to dig these trees on my hands and knees – being so many rocks ! With that being said – when they bloom a bright ruby red – I just love them – and it all was worth it !

Ninety five per cent comes back

Flowers and color do a lot for my mind and peaceful thoughts.

But – as you get older – weeding kills your back – at least mine !

So – this year – I bought the mulch from the boy scouts – and actually paid them to spread it around – 25 bags !

It was well worth it and half the cost of anyone else.

These roses will bloom off and on until Fall – most everything in the beds comes up each year.

Walking home – when coming in sight of the house- gives me a great calming thought – seems like any stress just goes away –

and that is for my mental being.

Front steps and door

Sherry always plants the planters around the house – in back -the patio and the front porch.

So – when people visit – the visual of flowers – the welcome mat – sitting on the front porch or in the enclosed patio – brings calm – that is why we do it .

The back patio and Tower Gardens

Each year – in the back – we plant flowers and the Tower Gardens –

which provide our vegetables daily.

In front of these are the other two Crepe Myrtles that I hand planted – all the trees and bushes here I also planted.

We also grow our own strawberry’s – enough to provide us each morning for breakfast while they last.

Living a healthy lifestyle – to reduce stress – we plant – we grow and produce vibrant colors all Spring – Summer and Fall.

We actually grow even in Winter inside our garage.

For a stress relief – try flowers – smell them – watch them grow –

it can do wonders for your mental health.
