Number 10 – Maddy Myers –

Her senior year of H.S.

On the Loudoun soccer travel team.

She took it upon herself to drive 65 miles one way –

To try out and make one of the premier club soccer teams in the NVA area!

For two years,

She did this week in and week out

In the soccer season!

She excelled and was recruited to the University of Lynchburg!

Here, she played for four years.

In her Sophomore season –

She was named third team all-conference.

In her Junior year –

Second team all-conference-

And in her Senior year – CAPTAIN!

In those four years,

They won the conference twice-

And went to the NCAA tournament twice!

A LOOK BACK at family!

Debby and Mike –

Parents of Maddy – Ella and Sarah.

Here they are before marriage.

They met in college –

And today – 25 plus years later –

Have raised the three daughters – Maddy and Ella have graduated from college –

And Sarah is in her Freshman year of college!

A fond LOOK BACK AT FAMILY!

Our dear friends – John and Nancy –

Who now live just outside Charleston, S.C.

They attended the same church in Sterling, VA,

As we did.

We have maintained that friendship-

Visiting each other over the years we have lived in N.C.

EACH MORNING WE WAKE UP BLESSED!

Now – Maddy – Debbby – Mike – Ella and Sarah.

We were neighbors in the mid-to-late 1980s.

On Pleasant Acres Drive in Portville, N.Y.

In the mid-90s, they moved to the Wilmington, NC, area.

We are still friends – still get together – golf and travel the World together!

Here we are back in NVA –

Celebrating our 40th anniversary with family!

We are now nearly three years past this photo-

But are “LOOKING BACK – FORMED MEMORY”!

A few years ago –

celebrating Saint Patrick’s day in North Myrtle Beach –

with oldest granddaughter Maddy!

And that day she had her favorite fried dill pickles!

Here we are “BUT LOOKING BACK – FORMED MEMORIES”!

A day off the ICW in the marshes –

Sherry and I booked a trip, taking my longtime friend Bob and his wife Pam.

NOTE: take separate Kayaks –

as two people cannot steer at the same time!! LOL

HERE WE ARE ‘LOOKING BACK – FORMED MEMORIES”!

To be honest – if you use both of our hands –

We still cannot count those who have made our lives better!

The girl I fell in love with –

Here is Sherry during our honeymoon in the Dominican Republic-

In June – 1982!

My mother is on the far left, and her parents, Nora and David Aiken, are in the center.

Then the rest of her brothers and sisters!

My grandfather died before I was born in 1949 –

But I have as a middle name – HIS!

When we lived in NVA –

we would take the metro in –

and go to the Nationals ballgame!

MEMORY FROM A TIME GONE BY!

Our time in N.C. –

and Cameron Woods Community in OIB-

has been filled with golf outings –

With friends-

and by ourselves!

The home we sold in Brambleton, Va. –

so we could move South-

This was to be our retirement home –

But high costs and recession –

401K dropping –

and housing market expanding –

We sold and left the area!

MEMORY OF TIMES GONE BY!

Today we can see this every day if we wish –

Our new home-

is close to two beaches –

OCEAN ISLE BEACH and SUNSET BEACH –

One day this too will be a –

MEMORY GONE BY!
