Papa’s World – A little golf with Bob and Pam!

Sherry – Papa – Pam and Bob!

We did manage while visiting them at a campground just outside the Villages-

To drive some minutes away and get in a round of golf!

This course is perhaps the most landscaped and beautiful course I have ever played on.

I forget the name – but they told us –

You just show up – no tee times.

And they start you when the tee opens up.

It is 18 holes – we only played the front nine.

Not long which suits my senior game just right.

Everywhere you look is fantastic landscaping.

Flowers – shrubs – huge rocks and mulch.

Fountains and lakes full of greenery.

And the rough is great!

The story I was told –

A landscaper decided to develop land he had –

And put in an 18-hole golf course –

No tee times –

Not too expensive –

And use his landscaping experience-

to turn it into –

A lush – shrub – flower-filled oasis

with tons of water and water features!

AND A ISLAND GREEN that I hit in the middle and it rolled off into a sand trap.

I was amazed after being told by Bob and Pam-

just how beautiful it was.

And we just showed up around 2pm.-

and checked in and got right on!

And it was affordable.

A nice pro shop and they served food!

A FAMILY RUN BUSINESS!

A rock formation and a waterfall!

Fairways and roughs looked professionally groomed!

The greens were awesome and fast!

Spanish moss hanging from the trees-

Small and large palm trees throughout the course

and this was just the front nine!

Pam is ready to tee off –

Note how well-groomed the other parts of the course are!

Sherry already hit and I am waiting!

Notice how groomed the tee box is!

All the shrubs that I saw were all trimmed throughout the course.

An extraordinary amount of labor to make it so perfect!

There did not seem to be any leaves – dead branches –

or clippings on the course anywhere.

This was by far the best-kept course I have ever played on!

I wish I could remember the name –

It is somewhere around the Villages and Summerfield.

Papa’s World – GOOD TIMES and MEMORIES!

Marcus and the twins – Cassidy and Taylor –

memories of good times!

Our very good friends and neighbors –

Steve and Diane –

Who would have thought we had close neighbors –

who also are from WNY-

and have a house on Rushford Lake!

This is close to where we raised our families!

They have the same memories of that area as we do!

Little Cassidy –

what a spark plug she was –

always squirming to be let down-

when you held her!

Always climbing and hiding –

Today she is 14 years old!

Granddaughter Sarah –

and next-door neighbor – Justin.

Today they are seniors in the same H.S.

GOOD MEMORIES FROM THE PAST!

Taylor – the quiet one –

she is always reading books-

She covers her head –

so no one disturbs her!

Such a Horse rider –

Spending all her spare time-

at the stables!

MEMORIES OF GOOD TIMES!

As she was when young –

and is to this day –

A FASHION DIVA!

Now a Senior in H.S.

A very hard worker –

Full of laughs –

always helpful-

SARAH – GOOD MEMORIES FROM THE PAST!

Another chapter in our life closed-

at the start of the Pandemic in 2020.

Papa’s World – After walking the neighborhood – we came home!

We are content – a new home – friendly neighbors – walking roads and paths -Cameron Woods Community!

We try to walk daily – sometimes in the neighborhood – sometimes on the beach and sometimes in the park across the road.

But – it is “HOME” we come back to each time!

One of my favorite places is the front porch – sipping coffee or a nutrition drink.

Watching neighbors drive by – saying hello to those who walk by!

My “COMFORT PLACE” even in the rain if not blowing in – this porch has shade all day long!

The shrubs and flowers – we picked this lot for a couple reasons – Surnrise to the right and Sunset to the left of the driveway!

We have protected trees behind us – and some wetlands – birds – yes – some snakes but I have only seen two in the backyard since we have been here.

I put snake be gone down and it seems to work.

I have seen deer and turkey back there.

Our ever bloom roses – we have weather where they are here almost all year!

The long grass-like plants have purple – pink ends.

Coming home after our walk – we have no regrets about moving here!

Looking at our home in Cameron Woods Community – the sun going down – Dusk appearing!

Looking across the street at the tall pines and live oak trees in the soon-to-be darkness of the sky!

In the backyard – the single palm tree against the protected area of forest – one of the reasons we selected this lot!

To the left of the palm tree – a crepe myrtle beginning to bloom!

To the right of the palm tree – a second crepe myrtle in bloom – all the treeline is protected!
