Papa’s World – Great times and memories!

How true is this!!!! LOL!!!!!

My life has been full of doing things!

From after H.S. to playing basketball for a radio station!

Playing softball for over ten years-

Then remarried and played co-ed volleyball with my wife.

At one point in my life before remarrying –

I rode a motorcycle for 8 years!

And I even had long curly hair! LOL!

After volleyball, we took up golfing!

And we both attempted to go golfing today!

We have now been married for over 43 years!

We are living out our retirement in OIB- N.C.

In our time together –

We have bought and moved SIX TIMES!

Three of those times, building homes!

Our life together has journeyed from NYS –

To NVA –

And S.C. and now N.C.

We both retired from the same company with a combined service of –

79 years!

FRIENDS! We lived as neighbors to Buck and Cindy at Pleasant Acres Drive-

Outside Portville, N.Y.

We now live 38 miles apart in N.C.

In the forty years we have known them –

We have traveled the world on vacations!

Many adventures –

And to this day, we still get together to golf –

See entertainment-

Dinner -enjoying the company after all those years!

So true in our life together!

My two sons – Troy and Shawn!

They still live in NWPA in the area they grew up in!

Always on my mind!

FAMILY means a lot to us!

For us, it started on 6-25-1982 –

The day we were married.

Time has gone by –

But we still make memories.

Papa’s World – More memories in time!

The KINZUA via duct – constructed in the 1800s –

to ship coal –

across the valley.

It stood over 300 feet from the valley floor.

Then – years ago – a Tornado ripped through the valley –

And took half the via duct down!

The state made this a state park –

with a state-of-the-art viewing center.

The half-bridge was saved –

and a platform at the end with a “WINDOW” floor –

You can look straight down over 300 feet-

to the floor of the valley.

The crumpled other half remains –

where it toppled over.

Today the bridge remains –

as a testament to days long ago!

This valley was part of the SENECA INDIAN NATIONS –

hunting grounds.

The reservation today stands some miles to the North in NYS!

A large CASINO was built on their lands and supports the Nation.

MORE MEMORIES IN TIME!

Two summers ago –

my sons with their partners –

came to visit and spend a week with us.

Shawn and Trisha have returned –

and next summer Troy and Andrea are trying to visit again!

The boys remained in NWPA-

and live there today.

Looking forward to seeing them once again.

MORE MEMORIES IN TIME!

This picture was taken in the early morning –

near the front entrance of our community!

This was what we thought to be a Coyote!

However –

it was later identified as an endangered “RED WOLF”!

We found out they are extinct in N.C. –

and the Wildlife Commission –

has released several back into the wild-

with tracking devices on them.

This one has been seen numerous times –

and we have seen it ourselves.

One person up the street –

spotted it with a black squirrel in its mouth heading into the woods.

It seems to stay away from people –

although we saw it one time from the car and it just stared at us!

MORE MEMORIES IN TIME!

LOL, I LIKE A SENSE OF HUMOR!

What has become a somewhat Thanksgiving tradition –

A stroll through the neighborhood –

by the folks who call this home.

CAMERON WOODS COMMUNITY –

this was the third year!

MORE MEMORIES IN TIME!

Sherry on a trip to ASHVILLE, N.C. –

with our friends the McBrides.

We love exploring – seeing the sights –

and we have traveled the world to do this!

MEMORIES – TIMES IN PICTURES!

Papa’s World – Old times not forgotten!

Bode – less than a year old – being held by Taylor – and Cassidy by her side – soon to be 14 on their next birthday –

This was taken at the Brambleton Town Center where we lived for 14 1/2 years.

We moved here when there was but one high school –

when we moved on they were just opening the fourth high school.

OLD TIMES NOT FORGOTTEN!

Maddy attended the Univerity of Lynchburg for four years – and played soccer all four years.

Ella ( who attends Randolf College and plays soccer) will be a senior next fall –

We as a family traveled as a family – renting a AIRBNB –

So we could participate in the games played when they played each other!

Here is a picture of TAMMY – DEBBY and SHERRY outside a grill during one of those trips!

OLD TIMES NOT FORGOTTEN!

My oldest son Troy – at the place where his best friend passed away during an ATV accident –

Putting a memorial marker on a tree –

This was in the Alleghany forest in NWPA –

Cherished memories for him –

OLD TIMES NOT FORGOTTEN!

Sherry and Debby with their “TEAM GENERATIONS”

at a lunch during a break from the Juice Plus Conference.

While many from the team could not attend –

This group learned so much about health and nutrition.

OLD TIMES NOT FORGOTTEN!

My youngest son Shawn –

receiving one of his many awards over the years in shooting pool competion

A ranked pool player in both Canada and the USA –

Out of over 1000 players recently from all across the country –

He finished in the top 30s!

OLD TIMES NOT FORGOTTEN!

Papa – a serious look but the back story is I had just had oral surgery!

Two front teeth implants!

Now – to say I was not stressed leading up to this –

Well – “I WAS”! LOL

Glad it is over –

I shall always be OLD TIMES NOT FORGOTTEN!

When lifetime friends gather together for a picture – it becomes –

OLD TIMES NOT FORGOTTEN!
