Papa – Bode – Tammy – Marcus – Cassidy – Sherry – and Taylor –

Last night of their stay –

In spring before Easter.

On the patio of SUNSET PRIME!

This was a first for us on the covered deck outside!

The food and service were very good –

The view was of two finishing holes of the 9th. and 18th. holes.

Watching as the foursomes finished up around 5:30 PM.

From our table –

I think this was number 18!

This is being developed as a destination resort for the SEA TRAILS GOLF RESORT!

Major improvements have been added and redesigned.

A 150-room hotel is planned –

There already is a convention center-

And brand new restaurants, of which SUNSET PRIME is one.

Here I believe is the finishing 9th. hole.

There is an outdoor fire pit with seating for over a dozen folks.

There are dozens of large-screen TVs inside –

and seating for a lot of people.

SUNDAY NFL FOOTBALL is a draw,

and different sets have different games.

We will be back and take visitors to enjoy the good food and view.

This is only four miles from our home.

Papa’s World – miniature golf – Tiger Woods!

Sherry and Papa at Broadway on the beach and the Pop Source miniature golf!

This is a 36-hole course all made out of artificial grass –

even the white sand traps!

It is unlike any miniature golf you have ever played!

It was fun – and challenging –

and they provided cold towels throughout the 36 holes!

Fans with a misting system.

You pick the course you want to play –

The BLACK course is not as challenging as the BLUE course.

We started there –

there are several bar areas and you can take the drinks onto the course.

You pay one price ( seniors discount) and you can play all day!

On Mondays, there is a reduced rate.

Buck and Cindy –

our close friends.

The holes are marked with the pars for each hole.

Hint –

you can putt through the white sand areas!

I found it easy to just putt and follow the curvature of the slight mounds!

Hint – try not to putt through to the edge – it will stay there –

and then you have just enough space –

to get your putter between the ball and the wall!

You can play 18 – leave –

come back –

keep your receipt –

you can eat there –

prices are good as is the food-

I HAD A TURKEY BURGER AND FRIES!

The BLUE course is more challenging!

Here is Sherry –

who had the only hole-in-one

and was on a par three!

Which is one of the harder holes!

You can see the edging of the longer ruff –

before the wall –

the ball will most likely hit the wall –

and then stay at the bottom in the long rough!

We did not buy any drinks for the course although we could have.

Being in S.C. in Myrtle Beach –

it was hot in the sun and a somewhat cooler day!

At each hole is a stand to hold drinks

and use as a table to record your score!

We will be going back –

taking family – friends –

neighbors and guests.

Papa’s World – Combination – Halloween and Birthday Party.

The parents – Mike and Debby – held a birthday party with a Halloween theme for their daughter’s sixteen birthday!

Sarah has always wanted to have a birthday party such as this and being so close to Halloween – they decided to do it!

THE SKELTON WAS THE FOCAL POINT FOR THE FOOD AND ALL OF THIS WAS SARAH’S IDEAS!

It was a hit and everyone loved it! The food was almost all gone by the end of the party and over in the kitchen were meatballs – mac-cheese – salads and rolls!

DECORATIONS THROUGHOUT THE HOUSE AND OUTSIDE – Sarah worked for two days!

STAIRWAY TO THE DANCE FLOOR IN THE CELLER – BOOKCASE IN THE LIVING ROOM!

OUTDOORS IN THE FRONT YARD AND THE BACKYARD – THE FORTUNE TELLERS BALL OWL AND RAVEN!

Papa’s World – New Year’s Eve – Solo Stove fire – Golf chipping game!

The group on Sunset Beach – toasting the sunset – then moving on to our back yard and the Solo Stove!

We left the beach at sunset and moved to our new home – started the fire and played a chipping game.

Our plan was to enjoy the mild weather before moving inside – snacking and Karaoke!

Debby and Mike had gotten this for me for Christmas.

We spent time outside – sitting around the fire and chipping golf balls at this target.

People also sat in the lanai – while others sat around the fire. And also a putting contest that Cindy had brought – Jim and Buck were the champs!
We all moved inside to eat and set up the Karaoke – and have a few drinks!

It was a fun evening – but still hours away from midnight!

Next – is the actual blog on the singing and laughing and good times of our very first New Years’ Eve

in our new home.

Papa’s World – lunch at Bouy’s and a street music festival on Main street!

I have wanted to stop in here and have lunch ever since we got here on 10-1-20!

It is a local place right on the beach in North Myrtle Beach!

These places always catch my eye – I just get a feeling about them!

They generally have good food and live music –

and this day – the food was great – a salad with grilled fish – and the music?

Well – right across the street is a block long and a block wide vacant lot –

And it was packed with tents – you could rent – and thousand of people!

A huge stage and three bands playing for six hours!

WE WERE RIGHT ACROSS FROM THE OPENING OF NORTH MYRTLE BEACH MUSIC FESTIVAL!

It is the first major event sanctioned by the town government since the start of the pandemic 14 months ago!

And people were out and about in golf carts – cars – trucks and just walking!

This was roped off and a charge to enter – you could rent out a canopy – and carry in drinks and food!

We did not go inside the ropes – instead after we ate – we walked around and around the whole roped off area as did many other people – they had chairs set up outside the ropes and golf carts – the police were there and ticketing anyone not parked legal.

I would say – inside – a thousand people – or more – I guess this is the fourth one they have had like this over the years – and the radio station was there and it also was broadcasting from the beach which was just as crowded!

We tried to walk the beach – but it was really crowed and full of young people – all right next to each other!

A look back toward sixth street where we usually go – and the other direction had even more people!

This area is pretty much not locked down – and you could tell the tourist season has begun!

I am happy for the the store owners who have suffered so much – many shut the doors and will not return.

But – we decided this was way too crowed for us – so we returned to the music and walked toward our condo.

Pausing once again outside the ropes to listen to a band – really good singing all the classics of summer of the 60’s and 70’s!
