Sherry is lighting a candle at the National Cathedral in Washington, D.C.

We spent almost 21 years living about 30 miles from the capital.

Oftentimes, becoming sort of tour guides for family and friends.

Taknin both family and friends into the city by car or the Metro line.

We had Metro passes( still do), and the little ones loved riding the rails!

When Maddy was just able to walk –

We took her and the stroller and pushed her all over D.C.

We even have a picture on the wall of her standing outside the fence-

And the White House in the background –

Hanging on our wall.

Sherry with Jo and Paul – friends from Arizona – who visited our home in Brambleton, VA.

Jo graduated behind me in the same H.S. in Pa.

And Paul graduated from the same H.S. that Sherry attended.

Both have been long-distance friends, and we have visited their home in AZ.

Here we are at the Martin Luther King Memorial!

We all had friends’ names on that wall.

This was during Covid, and the services were outside in the parking lot of Community Lutheran Church –

Strling , VA.

Our last service here before we moved to the Carolinas.

Here is Sherry and Papa saying goodbye to the congregation we attended for our years in NVA.

It was a bittersweet moment for us as we were involved in the church here.

Our longtime special friends –

Steve and Elaine, from back in WNY, who recently moved to Lynchburg, VA.

We raised our families together and played co-ed volleyball together for years.

Here we are on the ICW at Vareen Gardens –

A special place for us to walk on the ICW at the borders of N.C. and S.C.

Hoping we can visit once again!

Family time at one of our AIRBNB trips to Lynchburg, VA, to watch either Maddy or Ella play college soccer.

Watching the game –

I believe this is the game where Maddy(white), captain of the University of Lynchburg-

And Ella – (black) was the captain of the Randolph College soccer team.

Maddy and Ella are shaking hands.

Maddy was a senior and Ella a Sophomore.

Papa’s World – Events in a lifetime!

July 2nd. 2021 –

After nine months of living in Ocean Keyes, North Myrtle Beach, S.C.

We moved into our home, which we had built in Cameron Woods Community, OIB! N.C.

Some 30 minutes from Ocean Keyes but in N.C.

The one requirement I had in this home –

Was a front porch with a covered, shaded glider.

Here you see that front porch and glider!

Today it is a bit different in the landscaping!

Gone is the mulch; in its place are stones, rocks, and border stones.

We did this to cut down on the weeding and how it enhances the property.

It still is my place to sit after all these years.

Saying hello or waving as neighbors go by.

This is one of the major events of our life together as most likely the last house we build.

Other than me trimming the plants and bushes –

We have a company come in and mow-trim -weed and feed the yard.

EVENTS IN A LIFETIME!

Papa is walking in our old neighborhood of Brambleton, VA.

Above are our growing systems of Tower Gardens –

We sold all except one, which we installed in July 2021 on our back patio here in Cameron Woods-

And it has been producing ever since.

We were one of the earliest to invest in the country in these home-growing systems.

We can grow anything that does not grow on a tree in this self-watering system.

Every couple of weeks – add tonic and nutrients –

Just water in the base and no dirt.

It grows about 30 % faster and has no pesticides!

For about fifteen years, we have been growing our own produce-

And now in N.C. –

We can grow outside all year long!

After starting in three to four weeks –

You can have salads every night!

We had five, and now we’re down to just one that feeds us every day!

EVENTS IN A LIFETIME!

Sherry and Papa –

On our tour with friends in Northern California.

We have traveled the world with Buck and Cindy, who were our neighbors back in Portville, N.Y.

Sherry, Buck, and Cindy.

They live in Magnolia Greens just outside of Leland, N.C.

About 38 miles from us.

We often get together to golf, or just have dinner or see entertainment together.

We have had many traveling the road together worldwide!

Here we are in OHAU –

We rented a car and explored almost everywhere we could drive together.

Cindy and Buck are at Lake Tahoe with us.

Friends for decades and decades.

Many, many – LIFETIME IN EVENTS with them!

Remembering grandchildren when they were young!

Today – Ella and Maddy have graduated from college –

Sarah has graduated from H.S.

Young ladies out into the world.

We miss those early years –

but look forward to our senior years –

We have voted in Pa. NYS. Va. and N.C.

All states that we have resided in during our adult lives.

Today he is almost eleven years old –

The young boy is growing up fast and will be tall.

Our dear friends Jim and Claudia from NVA –

Have sold their home in Reston, Va.

And built a new home four miles from us.

So far we have other friends who have moved near us-

and this is the cause for celebrating our times together.

Here we took them to Vareen Gardens in S.C.

We have taken many visitors here for the beauty and solitude.

Thus we have created –

Back when the twins were young –

about two years old –

Their parents had sold their home and were waiting for the new one to be completed.

They came to live with us –

here are their little backpacks hanging on the landing –

to go upstairs to the bedroom.

They had their little beds to sleep on in the spare bedroom while their parent had the other spare room.

This photo brings back those memories.

Papa’s World – Events in our lives – Memorable!

When they were young –

Taylor – Sarah ( now 18) and Cassidy – the twins are now almost 15!

These three bonded right away in their youth.

They even formed a Mermaid Club one year when we went on vacation.

Here they dressed up at our patio in Brambleton, Va.

In between houses –

they came along –

with their parents to live with us until their new home

was ready!

I would play hide and seek with them!

Here they are when I found them –

hiding in plain sight-

They were so cute back then-

when they wore identical outfits.

Giggling when I found them –

I wish we could go back in time to these days-

But – the pictures allow us to have-

EVENTS IN OUR LIVES – THAT ARE MEMORABLE!

For almost twenty years –

Sherry has been a leader-

(TEAM GENERATIONS) –

in the world of-

HEALTH and NUTRITION!

Here – she is at a conference giving a speech –

She is a CERTIFIED HEALTH COACH-

from the renowned Dr. Willaim Sears –

A top doctor in the country for children’s health

and author of dozens of children’s health books.

Her many years of service for the industry of Juice Plus –

has been recognized –

at Conferences across the nation.

As we now are in our Golden Senior Years –

Our commitment has never wavered –

Our goal set Twenty Years ago was to –

AGE HEALTHY –

into our Golden Years which is what we have done.

Continuing this path

has left a path for Generations

of our family to follow.

Thus creating –

EVENTS IN OUR LIVES THAT ARE MEMORABLE!

For over a dozen years we have been harvesting our own homegrown vegetables –

Here is Sherry with daughters Debby and Tammy –

Who have followed their mother and helped in forming –

TEAM GENERATIONS those many years ago.

This TEAM is all up and down the East Coast and spread into other parts of the country.

Using The TOWER GARDEN from Juice Plus.

No pesticides are used –

Grown with just water and nutrients that were developed to use on the Space Station-

In Outer Space.

Being now in a warmer climate –

We grow twelve months of the year.

We continue to harvest all year!

We know what we are eating –

and it is so convenient –

To just walk out the back door

and select what we want to eat.

Do we need “GREEN THUMBS”?

No – we just harvest –

add water and Nutrients –

and trim it back every so often –

Papa’s World – Memorable events!

Place: Kinzua State Park Bridge – Marcus – Tammy 0 Cassidy and Taylor – Jennie- Maddy and Sherry.

Where: Mount Jewett, Pa.

This railroad via- -duct was constructed in the 1800s-

to transport coal to Erie and I believe Pittsburg.

At that time it was the highest RR bridge in the country.

Over 300 feet straight down to the valley floor.

Several years ago – a tornado came through the valley

and half the iron bridge toppled down.

Today – they remain where they came to rest on the valley floor.

Sherry grew up just a couple miles from here.

The remaining bridge was reinforced and a see-through floor was installed on the remaining

end of the structure.

The bridge then became a state park-

with a fantastic museum and teaching center on history

of the area and the bridge.

This bridge when constructed spanned almost a mile across the valley floor.

The remaining bridge was converted into a walkway-

with a viewing platform at the very end.

You can walk out there ( I do not as I am afraid of heights) and look through a safety glass floor-

straight down 300-plus feet to the floor of the valley.

As in the picture above you can see the iron grid supports where they came down –

that day when the Tornado came through.

It is a spot where an episode of FINDING BIGFOOT was filmed years ago!

Today – if you are in NWPA near Bradford –

It is a bucket list state park to visit-

in the valleys where the Seneca Indians once roamed.

Thus it would become a MEMORABLE MEMORY!

Sherry with her sister Bonnie and Maddy in front –

On the main street of Mount Jewett, Pa.-

During the yearly SWEDISH FESTIVAL EVENT held in August of every year

for the past nearly 50 years!

The mural is a section of the Swedish community of immigrants who settled in the town in the 1800s.

The heritage of the Vikings is celebrated every year during the festival.

Maddy in the breakfast-lunch dinner that is excellent in homemade food!

Also is full of Swedish memorable items on that heritage-

Sherry and Maddy at the Mount Jewett Swedish Festival information booth in town.

Before Sherry’s mother passed away –

this was a yearly trip we made back

to Mount Jewett to her mother’s house.

All the grandkids grew up knowing this town –

and home to GIGI – Sherry’s mother-

who lived here all her life.

Her own mother was born in Sweden and they relocated here-

And it became a large Swedish immigrant community.

Maddy sits with Taylor on the left –

and Cassidy on the right – see just how Cassidy adores her cousin.

Wrapping up this blog –

late friends sit to the left – they passed away a few years ago.

my son Troy in yellow –

and then Papa.

This was at the parade that has become a must-see –

and dozens of communities

participate – the parade is like the grand final before the carnival and Firehall

Chicken BBQ and games of chance begin!

Thus it now comes to a close to a this blog-
