LOL- the reason I blog is to tell these stories for future generations!

On a recent trip back to NVA to visit family –

We left the beach scene and traveled to Winchester, VA.

This was the first trip Sherry had made since her accident on the bike.

Trying to dismount ( The seat was too high) –

Losing her balance – falling over-

And fracturing her pelvis in two areas.

She has fully recovered.

While in the area –

We visited a friend at VALLEY HEALTH HOSPITAL!

This is an enormous facility outside Winchester, VA.

I like it to a very large COLLEGE CAMPUS!

LOL- very true as you get older!

We went to the South Tower – fourth floor, and it was here I met “WINNIE”!

Unexpected, but I was amazed!

“WINNIE” – the automated robot who transfers samples – items of interest –

Among doctors and staff on the different floors and to the labs.

“WINNIE” summoned the elevator!

There are SEVEN of these robots!

They are programmed to travel all over –

And actually go to the elevator and push the floor they want and get on when the door opens.

Then they select what button and floor to get off!

As you can see, they view the room numbers before they go back to the elevator.

“WINNIE” was one of two I saw.

The other was “CHESTER”!

Innovation – robots going floor to floor delivering whatever to persons of interest!

I was both surprised and amazed at their function.

Staff seem not to even see them anymore.

They are just there performing the jobs that have been commanded to do!

Just another interesting day in our life together.
