Papa’s World – When mothers and daughters get together!

L to R!

Tammy – Debby – Cindy – Sherry – Dottie – Katie – and Sandy.

Mothers and their daughters.

Debby – Tammy and Sherry –

Dottie and Katie –

Cindy and Sandy.

The three mothers have been friends since the mid to late 80s.

When we were all young, we spent time together –

But – they never organized a long weekend away together.

Now – decades later – it all changed into a long weekend in Charlotte, N.C.

Since all were from WNY and NWPA – just a few miles apart-

All are BUFFALO BILLS FANS!

And in late October, the Bills played the Panthers in Charlotte!

Tammy, Debby, Sandy, and Katie.

What a fun time –
A music concert – tailgating and staying in a condo within walking distance-

To the game – concert – tailgating –

Bars and restaurants!

Bonding and just having a good time.

Reflecting back on how their mothers have been friends for decades and decades!

And those mothers now all live in N.C.

Dottie – Cindy, Sandy, and Katie.

Sherry, Debby, and Tammy.

And the shirts were all made by Sandy’s company, “THE SWEET TEA COMPANY”!

Coming together Friday through Monday –

All staying in the same condo.

The friendships that the mothers share for decades –

Now, they are passed on to the daughters!

Bonding as their mothers did years ago.

The friendships go on –

Being passed down to another generation!

And who knows in the future –

There are now NINE GRADDAUGHTERS –

Wouldn’t that be extraordinary, considering it’s three generations that have continued the friendships!

The BEAT goes on from generation to generation.

OH – and the beat goes on – SINGING-

THE BILLS MAKE YOU WANT TO SHOUT!

THE BILLS MAFIA SAW A VICTORY!

Here’s to more fun in the future!

PAPA’S WORLD – TAYLOR AND CASSIDY – FIRST VIOLIN CONCERT – FAMILY MEMORIES!

Papa’s World – We took in a little music show at the Alabama Theater in NMB – The Drifters – The Coasters and The Platters!

Good day – from Papa and Sherry – living the Salt Life.

We purchased tickets – three for our neighbor and her parents and two for ourselves.

“STAND BY ME” – SPAINISH HARLEM” “UNDER THE BOARDWALK” ” CHARLIE BROWN”

“YACKITY YAK” ” THE GREAT PRENDER” “ON BROADWAY” “YOUNGBLOOD”

and the list goes on and on.

ALABAMA THEATER in Barefoot Landing, NMB, S.C.

I guess trying to remember the ’50s and ’60s at our age is not easy –

and I hear music but I can’t really tell you each and every time who sings it!

But – regardless – it all came back one by one

as the songs came out to much delight.

Our view from our seats – middle of the stage!

For me, it brought back memories of our local park Tennis Courts.

I belonged to a group one step up from the Boy Scouts – called THE EXPLORERS!

We raised money for our trips and activities – one way was by holding dances at the Tennis Courts!

I think we charged 25 cents – sold soda and candy –

and someone – for my life, I can not remember who although I want to say Guy

spun those 45s!

All these songs we heard at the Alabama Theater from –

THE DRIFTERS – THE COASTERS and THE PLATTERS

were played those evenings under the park lights and stars!

Papa Sherry Diane and her parents – old-time rock and roll!

A memorable concert – through the years and back in time –

this was the way it was when I was growing up!
