Papa’s World – Through the years!

Our time here is limited!

We are now well into our SENIOR YEARS!

Yet, through the years we have lived our lives to the plus!

Family – friends and now new neighbors for the SIXTH TIME!

Today as SENIORS –

We volunteer!

We do not drink as much –

In fact, very little at all.

That part of our lives is past tense for the most part.

Neither of us smokes – does drugs –

We enjoy the company of friends!

Laughing – exploring and playing games.

Two of my closest friends for decades-

Buck and Jim.

The former – we were long-time neighbors back in WNY!

The latter – we grew up in the same little town in NWPA!

Jim and I played softball together and later golf.

Buck and I and our wives have traveled the World exploring!

Here is Shawn with his wife Trisha and my eldest son Troy!

They still live in the general area where they grew up in the NWPA!

While we live far away –

They have visited us numerous times!

Family is important to us!

Here is Sherry with Bode, Cassidy, and Taylor!

Crossing the sound to Fort Fisher.

The young ones were the hardest to leave, as the oldest were either in college or senior high school.

But all have been to see us and we to see them.

Now the last of the oldest is in college, and the other two graduated from college!

Our life now revolves around Sun, Sand, and Surf.

It has always been our dream.

But – it was the Pandemic that pushed us out of our dream retirement home in Brambleton, Va.

401K dropped, and the housing market went up!

TIME TO LIST AND SELL, AND MOVE ON!

Today, we are here in N.C.

We built this home- she wanted an office –

Me – I wanted a front porch-

WE GOT BOTH!

Now, here we are in July 2024, celebrating both of our 75th birthdays.

On the sands of the beach.

Well into our senior years –

Twenty-plus years ago –

We started on our journey to age as healthily-

As we could into our senior years.

We found a SUPPLEMENT, and it had research that was published that proved it did what it advertised.

In 2005 – we started our journey – ” LIVING LIFE TO THE PLUS ” !

It was my wife Sherry who first started and and after 3 1/2 months – I finally got it through my thick Irish head that “HEY” something is happening!

Little things – but first where did this all take place ? Well – she said to me – there is a Health Expo at the D.C. Capital One center – and is sponsored by the network NBC for your health . Well – I was game – and into Washington D.C. we went !

Now – with over thousand of vendors – my aim was to go to the stage and concessions – eat and watch the entertainment – and meet up later. Which is exactly what I did. She in turn – found a Healthy eating booth – and bought the product – Fruits – Vegetables and berries in a capsule !

Since she hated vegetables ( since then she has developed a craving for them ) it was a easy fix for what she was not eating ! However – as I was eating my second cheeseburger ( yes – I was that bad ) she asked me if I wanted to try this out ? NOPE – I was fine – I went to have my checkup every six months – I was on MEDS and had no desire !

Long story short – I STARTED TO NOTICE LITTLE THINGS – like her hair was more shiny – her fingernails were growing faster – she was able to read at night in bed without her glasses – and she started eating vegetables ! That was something she hated !

So – I asked her – why are you doing this and what made you try it ? She replied – I needed to make a change and it was there – it clicked plus they had the RESEARCH proving what it did ! ( today there are 36 published papers) Then she said – ” YOU CAN DO THIS WITH ME – OR I WILL DO IT WITHOUT YOU – BUT I WANT YOU IN MY LIFE ” !

That was the day we both started living ” LIFE TO THE PLUS ” ! Almost 14 years now – and – because I was a terrible fast food junkie for 35 years – I paid the price – I had done the damage before I started my new eating lifestyle. In 2013 – I had the WIDOW MAKERS heart attack !

One blockage of 100 % – one at 90 % – one at 79 % and one at 60 % !

All those years – eating bad – BUT – had I not changed – I would not be here- the doctors told me just that – I was the most healthy heart attack person they had ever seen. I had FOUR BY PASSES – and within 52 hours – I was home standing in my living room being nicknamed ” THE RABBIT ” for how fast I recovered by the hospital staff !

Now one of the researches done by the University of Maryland – was on the Berries and how when combined with the fruits and vegetables – helped to keep the arteries open after a high fat meal !

I honestly believe that it was that one thing that kept me alive! I will always believe that – and that is why today we are LOVING LIFE TO THE PLUS !

JUICE PLUS was and is my savior – I believe that – it is my life and my belief. I will continue to take it – and almost 14 years later – I have my wife to thank for it . For without her telling me – ” I WANT YOU IN MY LIFE TOGETHER” and ” I WANT YOU WITH ME ” well – I am still here – this is just a part of my story of living out my dreams.
