Papa’s World – after breakfast – campfire with the family

GOOD MORNING

After spending the evening celebrating Debby’s birthday

in which Mother and daughters and two grand daughters

stayed up until 1:00 AM. conversing

We had a early morning breakfast and then to the firepit

in the back yard !

Sarah – our 13 year old grand daughter
had made the fire
and continued to clean up
around the area

All three oldest grand daughters are into camping – hiking

and out door activities-

taught to them by their parents Debby and Mike .

Sherry and Debby
with Bode and Ella
in the background

They live between Winchester Va. and Berkley Springs W.V.

at a guarded community called Lake Holiday.

This morning was a day in which there was a chill

in the air and sitting by the fire felt good.

But – alas – we had to leave early –

and only had a few hours to enjoy it !

Maddy and Bode
He loves the two oldest girls

He tells me that they are his favorites

because Sarah plays with Taylor and Cassidy

but sometimes he sneaks in to be with them !

Sherry – Sarah – Maddy – Debby – Ella with Bode
Bode adores Ella
tagging with her
where ever she goes
and she is so good with him !

Mike was busy off and on moving things with his tractor

to put air in the tires

Sarah has a ” TREE FORT ” complete with a mail box

Marbella – next door neighbor –

they drop off mail to each other in the mail box !

The ” TREE FORT ” with the Mail box !

Their whole back yard was made into a obstacle course

when they both were doing the Spartan Races –

Mike hurt his knee so they had to quit

but all three girls use it to strengthen their selves

and also running !

The back yard also has this seating area with the firepit

iT is cozy and in the early mornings you can see deer –

foxes and other wildlife

A favorite place to just talk and relax.

Hammocks
in the trees
Sarah cleaning

Ella gave bode a old sweat shirt from her young soccer days

that she could no longer fit into

He put it on right away

He so likes his ” ELLA” !!!
one more week with
a walking boot
as he broke his
leg four weeks ago
Everywhere she goes
Bode is there

Papa’s World

WHERE FRIENDS MEET FAMILY

THANK YOU !

Papa’s World – More memories in pictures!

We always wanted to golf – and down here in N.C. we live close to over thirty golf courses!

We have very close friends who live within 32 miles of us and they like to golf in our area.

So – once or twice a month – we golf and then have dinner.

Sherry and Papa with Cindy and Buck – we were neighbors for years back in WNY –

they moved to the Wilmington, N.C. area,

and we would visit.

Back in WNY – we often would get together and golf.

Friendships across borders and now nearby.

MEMORIES IN PICTURES!

Here we are with friends – all of us are from the same area – and all of us have been friends for years!

When we get together – we usually end up on the golf course and do a scramble –

GALS Va GUYS and some strokes are given – not many because the GALS can beat us!

Here we gave them three a side and only won by one!

MEMORIES IN PICTURES!

LOL – with me, it would not matter – the PROBLEM IS ME!!!!!

We love our new life near the Ocean – Beaches and ICW!

It is what I consider warm here most of the year-

I am not a cold-snow-chilly campfire person.

Although we do have a SOLO STOVE – but that mostly is for family visiting!

Sunset from the backyard and the SOLO STOVE going for family time.

Being here in Cameron Woods close to the borders of N.C. and S.C. –

provides me with temps that I enjoy – but still in winter I bundle up while other people do not! LOL

MEMORIES IN PICTURES!

Positive thought- looking toward the sunshine of each day!

Sherry at sunrise on Ocean Isle Beach – sums up our new life near the Ocean and the beaches!

MORE MEMORIES IN PICTURES!

Papa’s World – Remembering the GOOD TIMES!

Papa – Sherry – Les and Ingrid taking the picture.

Les and I played softball together back in the mid-70s –

They had been on their way back to WNY and stopped at a campground nearby –

We got together for the day and here we are at Holden Beach –

We stopped at one of our favorite places to have ice cream –

THIS WAS GOOD TIMES once again revisited!

Tammy holding Taylor and Marcus holding Cassidy –

The twins were born on their mother’s birthday –

It was “TIME,” the doctor said!

They were so small – today at 13 Taylor is 5’71/2 inches and Cassidy is 5’5″ and gaining!

“GOOD TIMES ” revisited!

We have so much to be grateful for – living life to the plus – one day at a time!

Our neighbors who live but three doors from us – in Cameron Woods Community –

Diane and Steve – small world – they also are from WNY and have a vacation house –

On Rushford Lake – a few miles from where we lived –

And frequent Olean, N.Y. all the time as we did when we lived in Portville, N.Y.

New “GOOD TIMES” as new friends!

Bill and Marcea – our neighbors in Cameron Woods Community –

We took them to “FAT HAROLD” the “SHAG” club in North Myrtle Beach –

and they loved it – next time we go we will learn how to dance the “SHAG”!

New neighborhood FRIENDS – “GOOD TIMES”!

Solo Stove campfire in the back patio – with family –

“GOOD TIMES” in the making!

Not this extreme – but I have seen some that are! LOL

This describes them to a “T”!
DEB and MIKE

It has gone by so fast – the day they were married.

It seems like only yesterday –

now fast forward – and three beautiful daughters later

They still adventure out and into the mountains

be it camping – hiking or compete in a obstacle course together!

Tough mudder or Spartan race!

Both completed three Spartan races!
Maddy Debby Mike Ella Sarah

The family has grown – one in college( playing soccer) – Maddy.

One a senior and attending college in the fall and also playing soccer ( Ella)

And the third youngest still in H.S. Freshman – aspiring in arts and dance. (Sarah)

Three beautiful daughters!

They love the outdoors – hiking – zip lines – camping – lakes – swimming.

When they were young – all smiles – family.
Father and daughter – camping and hiking!
Father and daughter – teaching soccer to her.
Father and daughter – caring for her.

Through the years – teaching them about life –

Mother bringing them up in church
Mother – although she now looks up to Ella – leading her by example!

FAMILY – PAPA’S WORLD

Papa’s World – one last day at our daughters house!

We spent a last day before we leave and go to South Carolina

at the house of Mike and Debby’s

with the two granddaughters!

Ella pushing Sarah on the tree swing

And we spent the entire day outside – chilly but bright sunshine.

This is how they live – hiking – sports – outside – campfires!

Their home is beautiful – set in the fringe of the woods.

The girls have lived here for 15 years

He has a complete backyard with different skill learning activities

A fire pit

There is also a zip line and in winter – a run to slide in the snow.

A trampoline – hiking trail –

Soccer practice equipment

It also was the second weekend of the community wide garage sale!

We helped them set up and take down.

Had to wear my jacket as it was in the low 60’s!

We planned this so we could spend one last time before we leave.

It is never easy to say goodbye

but the upside will be a place to come and visit

and being retired we will come back often

we are keeping our doctors – and dentist –

Mother and daughter
Bonding mother and daughter
This goes for both daughters Debby and Tammy! LOL!

We took them out for dinner the night before

sharing one last meal

missing our oldest granddaughter

who is away at college!

Sarah you just never know what she will do! LOL
Ella and her mother

Life is never easy – leaving will be hard – but – it is time.

We have all been close in NVA.

For over 21 years.

Proud of Debby – she gave up creamer!!!!

Our last day was spent just like we expected

outdoors – blue skies – sunshine –

a little chilly – campfire the night before

eating healthy –

loving life and watching the girls

have so much fun togehther

laughing – playing –
